McCain, on an unspoken basis, seems to have narrowed down his choices for VP.
I like all these guys, especially Jindal on his expressed 2nd Amendment stance. I dont know all their records 100% so I cant say who could actually make me stomach McCain and not write in my candidate this November…I cant wait to see how this plays out…
I was thinkin Bloomberg was gonna run for Pres. as I heard it one way but as time has gone by and more info. has come to light I’m thinkin maybe Lieberman is the Independent I had heard about and was looking for and he eventually becomes the Pres. despite who the people elect. Well I guess time will tell all and if Bloomberg gets picked as someones VP as well it will really be interesting to watch.
All I know is that I’d rather McCain leave Charlie Crist right where he is as Gov of Florida. I like the job he is doing down here and dont know of anyone who I think is ready to step up into his shoes.
Yes, let’s hope so. Not because they are black or female of course, but because they are clueless liberals.
Obama is such an enigma anymore. How has this man gotten so far and been so immune? Is this country so starved to spite itself that it will take any black candidate, including one tied so closely to someone like wright, just because he is black? Even so soon after 9/11??
McCain’s’ weakness right now IMHO is his lack of economic knowledge and prowess. He needs someone very strong in this area to help carry the Dem’s. who’s number one concern is the economic situation we are in.
I don’t agree, and putting up non-white, non-Christian as a political tactic to counter Barak will be widely regarded as condescending to many voters and alienate more than it will endear
Barak isn’t the presumptive democrat nominee because he’s black, its because he’s charismatic, likeable, disarming with stocking full of appealing leftist rhetoric at the tail end of a decade’s worth of GOP mismanagement of social issues, the economy and a war that shouldn’t be happening…
Pardon me for saying, but if the GOP hadnt fucked up their run at the helm, Barak wouldnt be as strong as he is…
And it doesn’t help that McCain is one of the worst people in the GOP to run against Barak.
However, I do agree Lieberman might be the best option due to his ability to suck in Libertarians and moderate Dems.
Ronmey would probably be the best out of the 4 when it comes to economic policy…and despite his spotty record, he is still seen as a true conservative among many people.
Jindal and Crist need to stay in office. The party needs to keep elected GOP in place full term wherever possible.
According to Catholics your marriage isn’t even valid unless it was performed by one of their guys with the proper big hat, my EX married a Catholic and I was promptly informed our marriagr never even took place at all.
Just an OT comment that coincides with the OT comment of Catholics being Christians as posted above, a point of fact and agreement with the poster as well.
