Depends. Light tap is momentary, and a full click is constant. But if im wearing NVG’s I stay away from white light all together. Especially indoors. As for shooting and recoil management its very easy to do a suppressed 5.56 ive shot using the momentary on while shooting and never had the light go into constant or move my thumb due to recoil.
Right right, but surely you’d use white light if shooting at dusk or indoors during the day? Do you prefer momentary or constant?
As for the MAWL, does the 3 minute auto shutoff annoy you? How does that work if you’re shooting and then suddenly your illumination is just gone?

You will rarely run it constant on, just like with white light.
Pretty much this. The white light gets hot with constant on and you’ll accidentally blind yourself indoors at dusk and night. As for the 3 min timer, honestly never even noticed it, only turn it when aiming at a target, turn off once off target.
