Hello. I’m re-purposing my DDM4 to home duty for awhile as my shotgun and 1911 (primary go-to bump in the night guns) are down for some maintenance. I tried swapping my surefire from my Nighthawk to my DD, and the key fits far too loose. I did have to file a bit off the P (picatinny) key to get a snug fit on my 1911. That is the same key to use on my DD rail, correct? I can’t find my surefire manual, and it’s not available on surefire’s site. I’m guessing that I’m going to need to request a new P key from surefire unless you have some ideas…
The Surefire comes with two types of rail adapters. One is for Picatinny rails and the other for Universal rails. I believe the cross piece of the universal adapter is smaller than the one for the Picatinny
The “P” plate is the one to use. If Surefire won’t send you a new one, you could use the cross lock adapter, or PM me with your address, as I’m pretty sure I have at least one extra “P” plate around here.
Thanks guys. I was pretty sure I was using the right one. I will contact Surefire to see if I can get them to send me a new plate. If not Wilco, I will be sending you a PM! Thanks!
