Which is the best sling (padded) la Rue or blue force vickers?
After much trial and error with both I would recommend the Larue. You can also buy a similar model from Viking tactics without all the bells and whistles. The Larue is quicker to adjust and has more travel. Larry’s sling is a good value and is a bit more robust. Also Larry’s has the added advantage of no loose tail to get snagged on stuff but I think you’ll find Larue easier to use. My Vicker’s sling is going on my shotgun so it will still be used.
Mule
can the VTAC sling be attached to a sling loop receiver end plate?
the best sling is the one you make yourself!
LT does not make a sling (FYI).
The BFG Vickers is the best on the market IMHO.

Buy a Blue Force Gear Vickers and you will be happy you did.
I like the LAV and Vtac slings, owning a couple of each. Both are very similar. The LAV sling is better constructed but the Vtac, is more adjustable. I’m personally waiting on the new Magpul sling that’s completely convertible and adjustable from single point to 2 point. ![]()
I’ve little experience in this regard but have read several reviews on these: http://www.gearsector.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=102&view=reviews and purchased three (two as gifts and one for myself). I like these products a lot! I must add that they have the fastest shipping I’ve ever experienced.
I’m a very satisfied customer!
I recently added the Vickers VCAS to my 6920…what a delight. Now I need more of them.
Yes. No problem.
The BFG Vickers is the best sling I have ever owned.
I love the one I got from Larue.
I really like the BFG sling, but the new Magpul sling looks really interesting.
Deleted.
It’s a VCAS v VTAC argument.
In the padded variety, if you can find the VCAS Padded Short version, it’s the better sling by far. The only complaints with the padded VCAS units are that it’s too long (I’m big, and it’s just barely short enough retracted)
