I cant decide which rifle i want to purchase next. I currently own a springfield M14, BCM M4, Savage 10 bolt, and a Ruger 10/22. I would like another highpowered rifle. Anything reliable, accurate and bad ass with a minimum caliber of 5.56. Also nothing above 1,500$ and no .50 bmg’s, too expensive to shoot. I have shot one and would love to own one but i dont wanna blow away that money. Semi auto firearms only, no bolts or pumps (No AK 47’s either, i hate them)
My M1 Garand is one of my favorite rifles. I know you already have the carbine, why not get its older bigger brother? You can get one from CMP for anywhere from 500 to 1200.
Ill consider it, any comments on the FN2000?

Yes i may go over budget just a bit but ive seen them on either impact guns or buds gun shop for around 1500
I’d probably go with a FAL or M1 Garand.
I would like to try a Tavor, but I don’t think that is going to be in my or your budget anytime soon. Those damn things just look too bad ass to pass up if they ever get into my price range.
If you had another 400 dollars or so, I might want to try a KRISS 45acp. SBR. I don’t know how it’s rated, but it looks like it could lay a hurtin’ on something up close.

How about a new upper in a differ cal? With research I was able to balance out a 18in mid length 6.8spcII upper to be ran off same lower as my 16in carbine using T2 buffer. All 556 weights/types work with perfect ejection, and all 6.8 ammo works with say about 80% also having good/acceptable ejection patterns. You don’t have to go 6.8 route, is just good setup for me.
I love my BAR. I added a rail and scope to mine. Otherwise it looks like this. 
Meh, not really a fan of that bar, i would prefer the heavy 308/762 bar
Btw, is my research correct??? BCM DOESNT MAKE AN AR-10!?!? I hope im wrong cause i love BCM. It seems like they only make some parts for an ar10 like sights, charging handles and other minor accessories
you know, you have your basic bases covered pretty well. you might be well served to explore the new generation of rifles with a new generation caliber. Something like an XCR in 6.8 could prove to be a real game changer for your arsenal. it meets your budget too.
I’ve got a FS2k and like it a lot. It’s a small, well built, handy rifle. Right now I’ve got a 3.4x scope on it and it’s plenty accurate for social work. I generally get 2MOA groups with it using PMC 55gr fodder. 75gr match ammo gets that down to around 1.5MOA.
The FS is pretty ambidextrous but is right handed biased as the CH is fixed on the left side and can’t be swapped. It’s easy to swap shoulders as the ejection, mag release, and safety are both ambi.
I like mine and am impressed by the build quality and design that went into it.

I will consider both the FS2K and XCR. They both look sweet and i like the idea of a 6.8 cal round. Back to my other question though, does bcm make ar10’s?
