Looking at buying my first AK. Classic Arms seems to have some very reasonable deals.
Any thoughts on deciding between their Polish Model 1960 and their Romanian AK-MV ?
US made barrels are a non starter for me when it comes to AK’s.
Personally, if I wanted an AK for less than $500.00, I’d go to Henderson Defense and get one of their “certified” WASR-10/63’s, and use the money left over for ammo and mags.
Henderson goes through and makes sure you’re getting a decent rifle without any of the typical Century Arms bullshit.
Why not spend another $150 and get an arsenal SGL21. Just got an email from aimsurplus and they are selling them for around $650 using the SGL21 coupon code. For the extra money you are getting a far better rifle IMO.

Are there any other options in this price range that I should be considering? Atlantic Firearms does seem to offer a wide range of possibilities.
I’m looking for a reliable shooting weapon but generally pretty basic too (KISS). I had preferred wood furniture but am willing to switch that later.
