I’m sorry to start a thread about Glock night sights, but this question is a little different, and I’ve been unable to find an answer (maybe I suck at searching).
I already have 3-dot Trijicons on my Glock. I’d like to have a plain-black rear, but keep the Trijicon front, to save me money. Would Ameriglo’s GL-405L, or some other rear, work well with the Trijicon front? Or should I just ditch the Trijicons altogether and buy a complete set?
Sorry again for starting another Glock sight thread, but I didn’t see anything about this.
I prefer the Sevigny plain rear by Warren tactical. Unfortunately you will have to replace the front sight as well. If you want to save the $ go with the AmeriGlo rear sight. I have had several guns with their sights on them and they are good.
Simple suggestion if I may: Permanent Black Sharpie to the rear vials and you’re good to go for a bit. I’ve used blue in the past to offer a faint glow. Black would stop them from glowing.
I actually like this idea. I’d rather get Hackathorn sights, or at least the rear that goes with it, but I guess this is a cost effective measure for now. Just kind of sucks that I wasted the money on the three dot setup before I knew better…
the sevigny/warren tactical plain rear with tritium front setup is 76$ I believe, so you could buy that setup then sell your old sights for 30 to 40$ and only be out a little
If I could have anything I want, the 10-8 rear would be on my gun. Since my agency won’t allow that I use the sharpie on the rear dots trick. Doesn’t give me the superior “U” notch of the 10-8 but at least the brightest and most eye-catching sight is now the front.
