Since the optic gun wasn’t available I had to get the rail gun. Is there a place or source to get the factory STG 1.5x optic to replace the rail if I want? If not, I’m thinking of going with either the ELCAN Spectre RD, Trijicon RX30 or the Trijicon TA26 1.5x Compact.
Ratworx sells the factory 1.5x optic but I don’t know if they have any in stock at this moment.
I don’t see the Elcan Spectre RD offering any advantages over an Aimpoint, I’d go w/the Aimpoint of your choice instead (YMMV).
I currently run the RX30 on my STG’s and IMHO it’s the best KISS optic currently available w/no batteries, switches or adjustments to worry about. Fiber optics are much improved, tritium is brighter, FOV is huge through the 42mm objective but I wouldn’t run it w/o BUIS for those rare occasions where you experience reticle washout. 6.5moa dot is doable out to 300m if you do your part (my own tests). ACOGs are great but if you’re going to go w/a magnified optic w/it’s eye relief & speed limitations I’d go w/at least 3x, something like the TA33HG.
