Which is the "grippiest" plastic pistol grip?

Of the plastic pistol grips, which has the most aggressive, grippiest surface? Tango Down? MIAD?

The one not on a lower. Ergo suregrip dose seem to be the best.

I like the Ergo SureGrip models with the overmolded rubber surfaces.

The Ergo Suregrip is the most “grippiest” but more because of the soft rubber than the texture.

If you want grippy, just throw some deck tape on what you like as far as feel. I put a strip on my Battle Grip, feels great even with gloves.

A buddy of mine uses an A2 grip with the bump dremeled off and deck tape on the front. It is a very comfortable grip.

Those two feel about the same to me.

I took my Tango Down grip and sprayed it with this - Krylon Non-Skid Coating. It’s kind of like a spray-on version of skateboard tape, but a bit less aggressive in texture. It’s proven to be very durable, and I like it so much I did the same thing to my KAC vertical grip.

As you can see, they don’t really look any different; but I can certainly feel the difference. I could try to get some close-up pics if you want.

I say get whatever grip fits your hand best and use the Krylon stuff (or maybe something like spray-on truck bed liner) to add some “grippiness.”

Thanks. I’ll get some of that stuff.

Not sure if it helps, but I’ve got some ergo’s on my 1911 and they are pretty grippy. I’m definitely a fan

How durable? How long before some touching-up is in order?

Plastic wise I went w a MagPul MIAD

Rubber type Hogue FTW

Forever apparently.

It’s been on there for almost two years (and several thousands of rounds) with no signs of wear at all. This stuff really bonds to the plastic and doesn’t wear like paint. It’s similar to spray-on truck bed liner, but not as thick.

I recently tried the clear version and was surprised that is actually quite clear and not frosty or cloudy at all. Now I can put it on anything without changing the color.

I will have to give it a try! Thanks for the tip.

The one that you take the soldering iron to…I get after my glocks and ar grips…all of them
