Which Ifak pouch?

SOF tq, olaes bandage and quick clot

I have these components plus a roll of tape. I’m not too familiar with the various Ifak pouches and don’t want to play the “buy/return” trial of elimination game. My department said, “here you, find a bag for it.” Lol…I like the simplicity of the HSGI bleeder pouch but was wondering if these will fit in the HSGI bleeder pouch? Or should I get a bigger one? Or different one? I need it molle for my active shooter rig for work. Thanks and sorry if wrong place.

If you attach the TQ externally, HSGI Bleeder will work well and is a good IFAK (for the bare minimum).

I have the HSGI pouch, and like it. I have a double HALO set wrapped around an OLAES, and still fit some combat gauze and a pair of gloves in it. The shears go in their own pocket, and the SOF-T wide rides in a “phantom” pouch attached directly to the outside.

Thanks guys

The HSGI Bleeder pouch is great. Should have no issue getting all of your stuff in it and it is small enough that it will not get in the way.

Do you have a link for the phantom pouch for your tourniquet?

Right here, friend.

It fits the SOF-T wide well. Particularly with the ITS “flat fold”.

Thanks very much.

I use the HSGI bleeder on my belt and really like it, carries what you need without being too small but is small enough you don’t try to put the kitchen sink in it. My tourniquet is on the side and is easy to access.

is anything attached to that quick pull tab, or do you just pull that and everything pops out, like a pull tab under AAA batteries?

Check out the Chinook Med TMK IFAK Pouch

Nope, nothing attached. Everything will just pop out like you described.

^^^^^^^ This. OP, the HSGI is perfect for your needs.

does this pouch have a page on amazon ?

I trust amazon !! and i like to buy this pouch from amazon

Get this one and put it at the small of your back. Save on belt space and you have a bit of extra lumbar support, plus you can grab it from either side if you are injured. For reference, I bought several ifaks that were oriented vertically before grabbing this one and I would never go away from this design.

A couple years ago I started moving towards IFAKs that are centered on the lower back-- it’s easy access by either hand if something were to happen, out of the way, and frees up real-estate elsewhere. I believe Sotech was one of the first to start the centered-back IFAK trend.

I’ve used the LBT-9022B pouch quite a bit and really like it for how low-profile it is. If you want to test it out as a proof-of-concept without worrying about spending big money, their off-shore subsidiary, LBX Tactical, makes that exact same pouch at a much lower cost.

I don’t have anything to do with this company other than ordering from them a few times with no issues. I appreciated that they swapped out a belt that i found too large for a size smaller no issues.

IMHO, this is THE BEST IFAK I’ve found for the size. You will not find a better thought out or better packaged IFAK.

Another decent option and only $20 is the NAR Eagle. https://www.rescue-essentials.com/special-buy-nar-eagle-ifak-bag-empty/

Here is a great, budget friendly option.
