I know that there is a replacement front sight post on the Troy website but it is not the same as the one in my M&P15T front sight. My understanding is that the M&P15T sights are made by Troy, but mine is not like this one. Mine has the round base with the four little detents in it, and the sight itself is kind of a square shape. Will the “NM/DCM Square” post on this page work as a suitable replacement? Thanks for the help!
The sight on my gun is a flip-up front sight, which I believe is made by Troy for Smith & Wesson. The sight post in my sight does not look like the one on Troy’s website at all. Mine has a round base with four detents in it.
Troy has made two kinds of front sight posts with their flip up front BUIS. The first model used the AK style screw post you linked to. The newer model uses a standard AR15 front sight post. If it will work with an AR15’s FSB, it will work with your Troy.
Another option to look at are the KNS front sight posts.
Not only are they excellent quality but KNS is a great company with dedication to quality service.
They make drop in front sight posts with different thicknesses and sight picture.
I bought a couple of their .034 squares to reduce my post size for more iron sight picture precision for further shots and like them alot.
I tryed the crosshairs and found them too busy for me, but going down the page to the sight assortment you’ll see the different posts and you can buy them in set or individually.
