Which B5 Systems SOPMOD BRAVO Milspec Stock or the Enhanced?

I have a Rogers Super Stock on one Colt LE6920 and get a very good cheek weld with it.

I have a Magpul standard stock on the other Colt LE6920, but I don’t get a good cheek weld at all.

So, while I think the enhanced B5 Sopmod will provid a very good cheek weld, I don’t the storage capacity and think, maybe, the BRAVO will provide enough cheek weld.

I’m not certain though and have no way to try one vs. the other.

Given the Rogers Super Stock is good for me, I’m thinking the cheek weld on the Bravo will probably be enough.

Right you are - I rushed my post and made a hash of it.

So, I’ll try again with better proof reading. (I hope…)

I have a Magpul standard stock on the other Colt LE6920, but I don’t get a good cheek weld with it at all. I think it’s a bit thinner stock vs. the thicker stock of the Rogers Super Stock. Thus the Rogers Super Stock, by being a bit bigger around (if you will) has greater mass, creating a better cheek weld.

So, while I think the pricier Enhanced B5 Sopmod stock will provide a very good cheek weld, I don’t need the heavier weight or want the storage capacity it provides for things like extra batteries and think, maybe, the B5 Sopmod BRAVO stock will provide enough/adequate cheek weld.

I’m not certain though and have no way to try one vs. the other.

The B5 Bravo is a very good stock and it appears as though the cross-sectional profile is about the same as the SOPMOD. I think you’ll be OK.

I have both the SOPMOD and the Bravo. The cheek weld is identical to me.
I hate to say it (Sorry Markm) but I like the LWRCi compact stock better (Not the ultra compact where you have to change the RE and buffer).

I’m surprised that you find so much of a difference between a Rogers Super Stock and a Magpul stock, to me they seem extremely similar. Do you have a cheek pad on one or something? If the Super Stock works well for you, why not another?

Personally I like the Enhanced better than the Bravo however, they are both great stocks and should serve you well.

The only difference between the Enhanced and the Bravo is storage capability.

Personally I think the Enhanced looks better too, if that matters in your world.

I really like the Bravo, but then, I’ve never been one for stock storage.

And to throw one more in the ring, if you like the Rogers, you’ll probably also like the BCM Mod 0 stock.

Magpul makes a bunch of different stocks. I am guessing you have a MOE?

Anyway, both B5 Systems stocks are nice. I find the cheekweld better on the SOPMOD, which is somewhat wider, but the Bravo is good also. There are a lot of good stocks right now, including those two, Magpul products, the BCM, etc…

The Enhanced seems to lock up tighter and feels better to me than the Bravo. My only complaint about the Enhanced is the sharpness of the front edge - it tore up my wrist a bit during reloads at a carbine class. Nothing debilitating, just annoying. Took a file to it to smooth it out a bit afterward. Not sure if the Bravo suffers from the same issue.

I have had a Rogers Super Stock and a Magpul CTR ( identical to the MOE except for the locking lever), I couldn’t tell the difference by shooting, very similar dimensions. You should like either B-5 as they are markedly wider than either the MOE or the Superstock.

I had to make the same choice recently .

I went with the Bravo and after using it I’m happy with the decision .

I’m a fan of having smooth surfaces and less edges on a weapon .
Less to catch gloves on ,less to catch on brush , less to catch on gear ,
less to nick myself with ,ETC .
The bravo has almost the same cheek wield as the Sopmod with less
parts and less edges .
