Which Aimpoint is considered the best AR optic to have or which one is known for the best model. I know there all great optics.
Since they’re basically all great, I would think it comes down to personal preference and want you want out of your setup.
Define “Best”. This is very subjective.
Some Aimpoint models are small and lightweight. Some are waterproof to several meters, some are compatible with night vision devices. Some come with their own mounts. Some cost more than others.
Usage->priorities->user specific value of features
I suppose most folks here (myself included) would be set with the PRO or the H-1. That might be a good place to start.
In your “Which EOTech should I buy” thread, you stated that you bought a T-1 instead, so why are you asking after you already bought one?

I have both a T-1 and PRO, prefer that latter due to its larger tube diameter. I find it easier to acquire the dot.
I decided to go with the Aimpoint after looking at both in my local store. Hoping I made the right decision, They are pricey
Hoping I made the right decision…
A little late for that now…![]()
If nothing else, you can use it for a while and if it does not meet your needs, you can sell it with little loss and try another optic.
Best value= Pro
Best form factor= T1/H1
Best durability= M4/M4S
I have the PRO and the C3. I like the C3 better because the dot brightness range. My preferred default setting on the C3 is just a schmere better than the PRO which is a tad too dim or too bright between 6th and 7th settings respectively.
I’ve tried the H1s and CompM4s… I still like the C3’s clean simplicity best.

accept no substitutes.
The good news for the OP is that he can always sell his Aimpoint and recover a good bit of what he invested.
People are forever trading up or down or to another model, so getting a well cared for “used” Aimpoint is no biggie.
In fact, anymore I try to buy used everything because if/when I want to turn around and sell it I usually get 100% of my investment back out of it.
Best (unqualified) T-1. For an unknown application, the T-1 does the most at any price.
Best value - between the H-1 and PRO. The H-1 on a DD or ADM mount is probably the best carbine optic for civilian use, and is a great value. The PRO is easily the best reflex optic under $500, the only optics I consider better cost at least $100 more.
I completely agree - a used aimpoint is still a tank, and resale is pretty much a net loss of shipping the thing twice to see how you like it.
