Hi everyone… I just wanted to see what someone else would do in my situation. I have an 870P with a S&J follower. I just bought a Wilson Combat +1 extension which comes with their follower and extra strength spring. I haven’t checked, but i’ve heard the 870P comes with an extra strength spring from the factory.
Should I just install the extension and keep the Wilson spring as a spare?
or
Should I replace the spring and sell the factory one?
I got the Wilson +1 mag tube extension in today so i figured I’d share what I found. Sorry for the blurry pics…
The 870P factory spring was about 2 inches shorter then the Wilson spring so I switched them out and will probably sell it.
The S&J and Wilson followers are similiar. As you can see from the 2nd pic the S&J is a little shorter. I’ve read that some people have a hard time fitting the last shell in sometimes so I figured the S&J would be better.
