I am ready to build it up and it seems that parts are now becoming more and more available. This will be my 4th AR build.
It seems it is fairly easy to find high quality complete LPKs. However, I now have a growing collection of pistol grips and trigger guards that I will never use. I also want to build this billet lower up as DMR type rifle. Most likely I will use a high quality trigger system of some type, so I will only need all of the other lower parts. Does anyone know of a quality source for all of the other small parts for the lower outside of the trigger, hammer and associated springs?
The custom build area is a place to show off and or ask questions about your custom build. If you are going to post pictures of your build, please post a complete picture not just your parts, partial lowers, etc…
Also, buying an upper separate and then a lower and throwing them together does not constitute a custom build. It would also be nice if you took time to explain how you came to your decision and explain your set up. Thanks.[/b]
They’re not permanently unavailable, it just takes time on the waiting list - it may take longer, but it’s not like they aren’t moving, Grant just hasn’t gotten enough of them to clear the backlog of orders for them for people willing to wait.
I’d still go this route, even if you wind up getting the G2S (or SSA, SSA-E, etc.) trigger with it (making it a complete LPK anyway) since you mentioned wanting a DMR type rifle.
I remembered this thread, just got my MOE+QMS PSA LPK today… and I thought, I should point this guy to them. For $40 I think their basic LPK is a steal
