If these guys were members of a “Militia” or a Christian orgnaization the media would have been all over them and what they are doing. But I guess they get a bye because they are muslim.

I seem to remember a very similar incident taking place in Virginia maybe where five men who practiced Islam were arrested for making statements against America, and “practicing tactics, and training” in the forest. Then you have the group in Oregon several years back busted for the same thing. The group in Newburgh NY busted for obtaining weapons and making statements. All of them muslim.
I then seem to remember (also posted on this site) the right wing militia that was meeting in Minnesota on weekends to train. I think the title of the thread was: Militias on the Rise, or something like that. And I’ll never forget how after they showed all the people training, they then give the CNN journalist an AK, and let him shoot it and the story ends with him all smiles…
Sure sounds like your concept of persecution is right on the money according to recent history.
You know…sometime we have posts that push the envelope here, then we have the above. But how does one respond to this individual, one who often posts to the left?
Let’s be very, very, very clear…looking to blur the line between exercising the right to organize an American militia who seeks and have successfully fought for protection from tyranny, as opposed to allowing blatant American hating Islamic extremists that have no issue with killing women and children, to be allowed to organize and train freely here in the country we all know those very radicals want to overthrow and destroy…is about as respectable as eating shit for dinner.
I can’t even believe that anyone who has the intelligence to type rather articulate sentences could be capable or writing such ignorant ones in 2010. But then again the MSM are known for their writing skills as well.
Pro Tip: Not all muslims are terrorists slapping C4 vests on their children.
They are Americans, they have just as much right to go run off into the woods and shoot guns as some good ol’ boys…
Do you keep the circumstances in your life in context? How about those of everyone else’s life around you?
Isn’t it important to do so for the most practical of reasons?

so long as they’re not engaged in illegal activity, who can say anything? i’m outspokenly anti-islam. but we still have a first amendment, and we still have a second, and a fourth. muslim americans are entitled to those rights as much as anyone.

Guys, of course I know this. But are there no sensible parameters?
What threat looms far, far greater over us today? A bunch of Bubba’s in East/West Bum-Fuck…or organized, armed, Islamic radicals who have shown a repeated current tendency to act on their hatred recently?
And what are they training for exactly? Does any damn fool here think it is to protect the sanctity of the United States? If it truly is, then all circumstances considered they should be more open and proactive about who they are and what their intent is.
i dont disagree with your sentiments. not at all. but what do you do about it? the law of the land protects all Americans, regardless of their religion, and regardless of what crimes they might commit later.
It looks that way to someone who is trained such as a LEO or somebody in the military, but who is usually the intended target of terrorists: civilians.
Remember, any idiot can pull a trigger. They don’t need a whole lot of skill to carry out their “mission”.
That’s all I am trying to point out SafetyHit, and I for one don’t think that seeing the forest for the trees means that I am a “leftist”.
Also, any armed religious group that claims ownership of this nation is no friend of mine, whether they are Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist or any of the other religions.
If I had my way anyone (of any religion) that spouted dogma as justification for violence would be sent to the Middle East with two magazines of rounds, and some cheap firearm. The Middle East would be evacuated of all non-righteous individuals, and we would build a massive retaining wall to keep all the idiots in. They all could kill themselves and breed to their hearts desire, and spend the next two millennia fighting over some hill in the “holy land” for all I care. But this is The United States of America and we have a Bill of Rights for a reason. I can’t persecute people simply because they follow a 2,000 year old book, and they can’t persecute me for not.
That is my point.
