I have used Sgammo for years but seems they have priced themselves out of the market. Where do you guys buy ammo?
I don’t think it’s SG… it’s just what ammo prices are. I haven’t purchased anything other than carry ammo since Jan 2021. The prices have come down, but are still nuts to me. I guess this is “the new normal”
I used to also Target Sports a lot, they have shipping included usually.
Some places are charging $60-$80 to ship a case of .223/5.56. That blows my mind.

Yeah i agree with shipping. Hell Academy Sporting goods is now competitive with online.

I havent priced shopped every item but one place has PMC 115g pinking ammo for $215 a case Sgammo is $260.

Ammoseek.com is your friend. You need to filter by shipping costs in order to get rid of the assholes trying to sucker people with a low ammo price, but who then tack on exorbitant shipping. Sellers are also rated by Ammoseek users, pay attention to the ratings. Lastly, most sellers charge sales tax, but not all.
I’ve been using sgammo for years. In fact I have a low 3 digit order number from them, from shortly after they got started. Stopped buying from them shortly after the election and covid panics started. Their prices were really not all that competitive any more.

I had the prime membership at target sports, everything was free shipping.
Which was cool for one or two boxes of ammo, like when they did the HST and Gold Dots once a month for $18 a box of 50.
I stocked up on 124 and 147 9mm, .357 Sig, .40 and .45
During the plandemic it would have been cheaper to shoot that than what 115 Blazer Brass cost.
I don’t think I ever bought just two boxes of ammo though.
Usually a case of 9mm and 500 rnds of 5.56 a month, I always tossed in a couple boxes of HSTs or GD’s also.
9mm 115gn BB was $159 from TSUSA then, $100 more now but it was a lot worse.
TSUSA has free shipping on cases and SG has free shipping on orders over $200
Ammo is the same price from both shipped, I’m sure they aren’t the only ones selling it for 26¢ a pop delivered.
I thought SG’s prices were good? I just bought a case of 9mm from them for $259 free shipping. Ammunition Depot is another solid company, had nothing but good experiences from them.
Yeah, I checked them a couple hours ago and their prices on 9 mm are much more competitive than they were a couple months ago. Their 223/5.56 prices are still a bit higher than I can find elsewhere.

Every so often I get the itch to buy some factory 5.56 blaster just for a change up. Then I see the per round cost for hoe-hum ammo that’s “on Sale”. Still twice the price I’d be willing to pay.
I’ve seen a couple of people complain about their prices recently, but I don’t get the complaints. Those prices are simply a reflection of the market. SGAmmo tends to be one of the better places to order ammo from, especially if you’re buying ammo in bulk. If I’m just buying a couple boxes at a time, I’ll do that at work, or add a couple boxes to a Midway order.
I really shouldnt have mentioned Sgammo. In my experience they ship the same day and always get my order right. I was mostly wondering if M4C had a go to for thier ammo. Id like to pick up a couple cases.

9mm plinking ammo seems to have come down to a reasonable price. 22lr seems to be available at a decent price as well now. 5.56 and other center fire rifle rounds are still too expensive to be attractive to me. Luckily I stocked up on quite a bit of it during the Trump era.
