I live in Keller, TX just north of Fort Worth. Where can I go to to find a class 3 dealer? I have a suppressor being made and need someone to receive it, etc. Area code 76244.
Thanks.

I will be returning to TX once I’m discharged so I’ll probably watch to see if anyone responds.
Quick question : I have a trust that owns a suppressor here in Virginia. I’m looking to move to TX here soon, what do I have to do to move the suppressor to my new address in Texas? Do I have to notify the local LEO or just the ATF? Thanks
Check SilencerTalk and look for a guy going by Chilli17. He’s around Denton or somewhere close to Denton. There’s another guy in that general area but, I don’t recall his forum handle.
Just the BATFE. My last 5320.20 took 10 days door-to-door, too bad form 1’s and 4’s arent that fast.
I have never dealt with any of them. I just Googled it and got these in the DFW area.

That name is a blast from the past. ~15 years ago I bought something non-NFA from Steave when he worked at a small gun repair/gun builder shop somewhere out by DFW (Coppell?)
Got it, so All I have to do it file the 5320.20 to the local ATF in the new area (Texas) and all will be ok? No need to even let the local LEO know? Thanks
Let me second atwell tactical. Dude has great prices and easy to deal with. I know his regular ffl transfers are only 10$.
Edit: Just went buy last night and picked up my new Mega lower. pretttyyyyyy!

You could reach out to Chuck Ross at Ross Precision Gunworks. I know he builds and sells suppressors, so I imagine he might be able to transfer them. I’ve personally dealt with him and he is a good guy. Plus he is in Keller, which appears to be your side of the hood.
Yeah I have known him for some time too. He now works out of Dallas Gun Club in a little closet space he rents from them. I think he charges $100 to do xfers though… and charges retail for any Silencer product you want ordered.
And only $75 to do CLIII Transfers. Though his business hours are by appointment only due to the fact he works out of his house. Though they are very friendly folks!
It gets sent to the office in Martinsburg, WV; instructions are on the form. As far as the local LEO, there are no ordinances in Texas that require notification or local registration.
Download the form, follow the instructions and, wait 4 to 8 weeks and you’re set. You can also set the dates for a 1 year period for travel for multiple trips. For example, you live in Oklahoma and have friends, a farm, etc. in Texas. One form for one calendar year multiple trips. ![]()
Thanks guys, I checked that form out, seems simple enough, always good to get a few different outlooks on the situation.
Jim Self is my FFL for all my NFA stuff. He’s a great guy and was extremely helpful in the process of the transfer. He’s in Kaufman, TX and works out of his house. I can’t recall off hand what he charges for transfers, but he will also order stuff for you if you tell him what you want and does have inventory. Like I said, he works out of his home, so it’s by appointment only.

Great guy. Used him for a couple transfers, he put a bolt knob on a 700 for me, did some work on an 1100, and has great prices on Eberlestock gear. Highly recommended!
Jim Self wanted $100 to do a CLIII Transfer…
I have a friend who uses Atwell Tactical. Raves about the guy, and also the gun plumbing he does for him. I had a chance to meet Andrew when I was out in Texas visiting, and he seemed to be good people. I’d feel comfortable doing business with him.

Another vote for Atwell tactical. I used him for my suppressor purchase. Great to deal with.
