When is the earliest you remember seeing a Redi-Mag?

It occurred to me I had never seen the series finale of Miami Vice. (I was in Jordan in May of 89 and setting a VCR for weeks in advance would backfire if the network changed the night an episode broadcast)

For some reason, it only took 24 years to remember I missed it and I fired up Netflix.

There is a scene where old school SWAT guys fire up a trailer. Next to a guy with a 9mm AR is a guy sporting on old school Seiko dive watch and what sure looks like a redi-mag on his AR.

That is way before I ever had my hands on one.

If I remeber correctly, it had to be the early nineties.

My dad had one in the early to mid 90’s. that’s my earliest memory of it.

No FSP but it looks like there maybe a front sight in the carry handle channel?

That’s a LaFrance “K” Gun. They also made a .45 acp version that used Thompson SMG mags.

Early 90’s, still have it.
