Mine is the Savage 99 because it can use pointed bullets unlike the lever guns with tubular magazines. The rotating magazine is also a brilliant design taken from Mannlicher and used for decades until it got too expensive to manufacture and Savage switched to a box magazine. That’s why I am only interested in the older ones with the rotating magazine with round counter on the side.
I only have one, so that’s easy. It’s an old Winchester '94 30-30. It was the first gun my Dad gave me when I was a kid. It’s always been a great shooter. To me it’s one of those cherished items.
I have always liked the Winchester Pre-64 Mod. 94s in 30-30 its a true classic, light, short, somewhat accurate, very durable. its just something about the old leaver guns…
Marlin 336 in 30-30 is my only lever gun to date so I would have to say it is my favorite.
I “inherited”(read liberated) it from my Dad. It’s a late 50’s model.
