Whats up with BCM staking jobs?

Okay so the one on the right is from the M4, its a little over a year old.

The one on the left is in the SBR, I picked it up about 4 months ago.

See the difference in staking? What tool are they using? It dont look right huh

That’s a good one ??? I have seen the end of wrong way to stake too many times. the stressing of bolt head to shank area ,which will make the bolt fail. Maybe a better way /tool is used ???

What? I think you read it wrong man. They are both BCM, The one on the left is the NEW BCM, Im not happy with it and I never said it was a good staking job…thats why I posted pics man

I have one about a year old and it looks like the right one. Shoot them an email, I’m sure they can give you an answer.

Thats what I was planning. Im not too worried about it, just odd thats all. Seein if anyone else had this.

It makes you wonder who they switched to, or contracted this batch to. There is no mistaking, its completely different

I fail to see how it’s a bad staking. The staking doesn’t need to cover the top of the screw. It simply needs to be pushed in enough to engage the screws. The screws are knurled on the sides.

In the future if you are concerned contact BCM first as per the site rules.
