We were there for 4 days on an off range oryx hunt. The oryx go back and forth between the range and BLM land but they stay on range cause they know its safer. So we hung out right att rh range fence for several days and at night we just poked around for fun and shot coyotes and rabbits. The one thing that freaked us out the most was one night about two hours after dark we heard a blackhawk flying towards us Im sure blacked out cause we could see nothing, then out of thin air the noise stopped. Dead. The blackhawk has a very distinctive sound and it sounded like it was getting close but then like a big speaker the nosie just turned off. Not like it landed and shut down but strait up dead silence. You couldnt feel it but you could hear it. Creeepy…
