This rifle, especially in it’s second generation, looked like an interesting idea. More innovative than the pre-ACR Masada. I would have loved to see it both 7.62 and 5.56. Is this project dead or simply in development hell?
The designer of the Massoud had a prototype of its successor at SHOT. Look up the Fox 42 from KRG. I liked the original Massoud better though.

Well, it became the ACR and was given to Bushmaster to make. See below video for further.
Incorrect, you would be thinking of the Masada which went on to become the ACR from both Bushmaster (for citizens) and Remington (for Mil/LE).
Doh! You’re right! I forgot all about the 308 rifle that looked like the ACR (from what I saw in the first few videos in 2008 and 2010). Sorry for my reference to the Shrubmaster ACR.
