The 68gr OTM are the the marks that made the least penetration, the silver bear are the marks with a small cone in the middle, the ones that look rather light and small are when i shot it as it was swinging.
The two marks closest to the hole are definitely my SS-109 reloads, they penetrated about 1-1.25mm

I do not care what he says, listing on ebay says 150yards for .308. Now it should easily handle .223 at 125 yards.
I sent him another email saying that if its listed for .308 at 150 yards it should easily handle .223 at 125 yards… his response…
That just goes to show how much you know about the ballistics of a .223 and a 308.
You need to do you homework before you try to explain something that you know absolutely nothing about. That just verifies how old you really are and how much growing up you need to do. You are a joke.
The bottom line is that he said it was an AR500 rated steel target, and AR500 shouldnt be effected .223, even if i was at 50 yards.
Life is too short to sweat things you can do nothing about.
did you leave him negative feedback before you even gave him a chance to make it right??
If so then that could have set the tone for how he childishly reacted to your question.
In the future you can always try your item for a day or so then if any issues shoot em an email and give em a chance to make it right.
If they respond like a dick then you still have the “I don’t want to have to leave you negative feedback so is there anything we can do to make this right?”
If you don’t hear back or get another dick reply then leave the negative feedback and you can even add the you gave him more than one chance to work with you but this seller is only interested in your money and once he gets it he could care less what happens to the junk he pawned off on ya.
But feedback has been left and you having no way to prove you didn’t shoot it with an 295gr +P 223 round, RpG or small tactical nuke, i see no legal course you could take.
This is not necessarily true. When i attended an LE Urban Sniper Course a few years ago I was not allowed to shoot at their steel targets because I was not using pre-fragmented .223 REM ammo. I was using 75-grain BTHP through a 24-inch Varminter.
The range operators (a Police Agency) told m that they had to replace their targets because .223/5.56 rounds were going right through them (at 125-yards) while .308 and 300 Win Mags were not.
I have seen this occur with my own eyes at about 50-yards. A homemade plate that was heat-treated was able to stand up to .308 FMJ while my .223 55-grain FMJ punched right through. It looked like someone burned a hole using a Plasma torch.
It sucks that the steel you bought was not up to your expectations; but at least you’re only out $30. I just took delivery of a 500 Brinnel steel target and stand for just under $200 and these are the most inexpensive I have come across for that rating. I also only use FMJ or OTM rifle rounds against it at at least 100-yards. The $30 price tag should have been a clue as to what you were actually purchasing.

WOW, the guy just left feedback, since sellers cant leave bad feedback it was good feedback but he said this for both things that I bought from him, since he left it for something i haven’t even giving him back feedback on, should i go ahead and leave bad feedback for the item?

BTW I gave him about 36 hours, funny thing is with an hour or so he replied after i gave him the initial bad feedback.
So do i leave bad feedback, or just leave it be.
Also ebay is saying he will accept a return, but i havent recieved a message from him.
You can post a reply to his thing can’t you? eBay used to allow you to post a reply to his comments. Just post that it is untrue – you contacted him 36 hours prior without answer or whatever the truth is.
Not sure how they cut it from the round stock exactly, but my guess would be a saw, and odds are the surface got hot enough to change the hardness of the plate.
