dead honest, I probably have very little use for a sling other than to maybe look cool. I don’t work in law enforcement or anything…the gun was purchased to #1, look cool…#2 maybe play some sort of role in a bizzaro home defense, SHTF scenario.
realistically, with the ranges I go to, it wouldn’t make sense to be slinging the rifle on my body, and other than in my head, I can’t see a real reason to really ever be walking around with the gun…
if I’m playing pretend SHTF scenario (forgive me)…let’s say I’m strapping it on to take the trash out, or taking a 30-minute drive to my parents house…concealing it under a coat or something…as such, let’s pretend that’s what I’m using it for…walking around or sitting in the car, covered with a big jacket. (sorry to mall-ninja up the forums, btw)
A rifle sling is kinda like a pistol holster, in that it lets you have the rifle on your person without needing to hold it in your hands. If this is a range toy, spend the $30-50 on ammo.
Single point slings and longer barrels (14.5-16") are nut busters, but might be fine with a 8" SBR…and at .0001%, I say keep it simple (and cheap) and go single point.
For Me I use an MS2 by Magpul. It’s a single point or a two point and its easy to move from gun to gun. Infact you dont even have to take it off to move from one gun to the next. yeah they are $50 bucks…but you can find Airsoft copys for under $20 and they look pritty good. Hope that helps!
While this thread has been closed I just wanted to address this right quick. Please refrain from suggesting that someone use an “airsoft copy” for anything other than playing fucking airsoft. If is shoots real bullets keep fake shit off your rifles. Period.
