What to do with my full built Spikes Tactical Lower

So long story short, I started a build last year. It was my first build and I have the lower completed.
Spikes Tactical Lower, Daniel Defense Parts Kit, Magpul trigger guard, a2 grip, etc. Basically a straight forward setup. The plan was to get a BCM KMR 16 inch upper.

Then came a few weeks after the completion of the lower that I got a call from LaRue and I totally forgot I got “in line” for one of their 16inch Predatars. Keep in mind it’s been a year plus since I submitted the order and I always thought I would just end up building my rifle and when time comes I would just cancel. So in the end I paused the rifle build and went ahead and paid for the LaRue, a few weeks afterwards I received it and now its been 6 months now and I just remembered I still have this lower sitting in my closet unfinished.

My question is what would you guys build with it? I would love to finish it up into a SBR but here in Illinois we cant have anything shorter than 16 inches. What would you guys build with it?

Any ideas would be very helpful. There was a time I thought I would just get rid of it and use the funds to start M14 build or so but that has been mentioned to me that those builds are much more complicated and not as modular as ar15 building goes.

Thanks in advance

6.8SPC, .277Wolverine, 300Blackout, 6.5Grendal you pick.

What is the purpose of the Larue? If the Larue is a distance rifle, then you could still get that BCM KMR upper and do a LW build for relatively close in work with an Aimpoint. Or do a backup similar build to the Larue, or some sort of recce, or… you get the idea. What areas do you have covered and what areas do you have that you want to fill? Trust me, as someone who buys AR lowers on a whim, you can one, never have too many guns, and two, if you put some thought into it I am sure there is something that you can do to fill a need, whether real or preceived.

No real purpose for the LaRue. I dont shoot long distance as the ranges here dont exceed 100 yards. I would love to be able to shoot up to 300 yards away thou. I do love how accurate the LaRue is. Im more of a recreational shooter and only shoot paper. Not much into hunting and dont for see me doing that in the near future as well.

I guess since I cant do a SBR and sort of dont need a rifle that is 16 inches like my LaRue I guess if I can get away with building a 14 inch and have a pinned buzzle brake pushing past 16 inches I would do that.

Any uppers you guys recommend that are more tolerable to shooting steel thru it? Reason I ask I could build a “beater” rifle and leave my LaRue home sometimes
