What the hell?!!!

Im stationed at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM. We have over a foot of snow, and more to come. I thought I was in the desert. My mother in Ohio calls me just to tell me it’s sunny and warm at home. AAAHHHHH!!!

Oh man, I love snow! Head up to Santa Fe Basin and go snowboarding!

I can’t I’m a corrections supervisor at the our regional prison, and guess what? I’M AT WORK!

Im really getting sick of these Snow posts, Seems like everyone has snow but me. Heck there are parts of the Adirondaks that dont have snow at the moment:p

Dang Kravin! I lived there 18yrs and never saw a foot of snow in the Albuquerque area! Joined the Navy and travelled…retired 20yrs later…and now, I’m in Aurora, just immediately east of Denver. I don’t think I like the snow anymore. Hey…I bet all them prairie dawgs and coyotes are in mass confusion. And I’m sure the drivers down there are acting like real 1d10ts.

There is 2 feet plus right outside my door here in Santa Fe! It has been snowing for almost 2 days non-stop:eek: I’ve lived here my whole life and have never seen this much snow. It’s pretty neat. NM weather is strange, but then again, Santa Fe is over 7000 feet above sea level.

I think my tree is going to break.

That is a lot of snow for the area you guys live in. I sit here in North Carolina and am wondering where ours is. I miss the snow so much, you guys can’t believe it!

I see your a fellow AF cop, I love my job, working on holidays, in blizzards, and all kind of SH!T. It must be nice to get the day off, when it rains.

I hear you…This place takes more down days than any base I have ever been at.

And to top it off, I have yet to see one back office dick work a day on flight. During our Commander mandated Christmas schedule (most troops didn’t want it), only one person from the Support Staff came in to see the troops…Our Commander. Other and him stopping in for a few minutes, it was the Support Group Commander and the Chaplin. That’s piss poor in my opinion, and they wonder why all the cops here hate this place.

Me, hell I can suffer through it for a few more years. Nothing get’s me down anymore…I expect it to be this way!

Yea, I never see the wing or group commander unless it’s Thanksgiving or Christmas. I can’t stand when others complain about there job. They have no clue what works is. They take leave when they want, hell I had use or loose as an A1C, nobody but NCO’s at the time could take leave, we were really short on bodies. Yet we have like 78 back office jobs.

Dude can I come out and stay with you for a few days? I love it out there and the snow makes it even better. I was out there in '98 snowboarding at Santa Fe Basin and we drove north up to Wolf Creek Pass. We got hit with a whopping storm and we were stuck snowboarding for 3 solid days before we werer finally able to drive back to Santa Fe. Damn the bad luck

I hear you!

Talking about snowboarding, I’d like to snowboard off the roof of that there Mustang!

How far are you from Sugar Mountain in NC? We should plan a little trip since I’m not going to make it out west this year.

it looks like I am about 5 hours from there. But, I don’t think I will have the time before I depart for “Over there”!

You got a snow shovel?
