I want to get a stock wrench so I can remove the collapsable stock on my dad’s bushmaster. The problem is that I don’t have access to the rifle right now and I don’t know what castle nut it has. The gun is from the early 90s with a 2 position fiberite stock. Would I need a CAR stock wrench or the newer style stock wrench? Could I just get a CAR stock and would it work on either? Thanks.
If you’re only using a few times, this one.

If you’re going to use it a lot, this one.

The M4 stock nut wrench sold by www.specializedarmament.com is fantastic but it doesn’t fit commercial tubes.
It sounds like I’m dealing with a CAR castle nut, so now what do I do? PK Firearms has this CAR wrench.

Are those even remotely good? All it has to do is be able to loosen up what I think is an unstaked castle nut at least once and it shouldn’t be needed after that.
I have the Rock River stock wrench. It will work fine for what you need it to do and is inexpensive.
