What solid, simple light mount?

What solid, simple light mount would you all recommend to put a light on a standard carbine (no rail)?
I’ve looked at some mounts on the standard front sight base and that looks like they would do well but is there some system that really stands out as superior to the others?

Sure to be something you can use here

For standard handguard, I still just run the old GG&G bolt on piece.

Thanks. I’ve studied both of those links–originally and with search-- and have considered them. I was just wondering if something stands out. Have always been satisfied with GG&G products also.

For a KISS solution or one utilizing the standard handguards, I’d probably go with a MI FSB mount with a G2L in a standard VLTOR Scout Mount.

I find it comfortable, and a great value.

But maybe that’s just me.

That’s a combination I’ve been looking at. Thanks for the comments.

Heres the one I just ordered, but in flat black.

I’ve got an MI bolt-on rail with VLTOR light mount. The VLTOR peice is awesome, the MI one required a lot of loctite to behave. The light is in the exact spot I want though.

I’ve got a Surefire 674 mounted to the FSB of one of my 6920s and am very happy with that set up.
