Is $600 a fair price for a used but like new HK USPc .40 LEM. It comes with night sights and (2) 10 round mags. I just wanted to run it by some of you before I make the leap.
Yes, that is a good price. Especially if the night sights are pretty fresh
That sounds like a good price to me. I got my used USP for 550, but that was a deal from a friend and it didn’t come with nite sites.
So yeah, I would drop 600 on a used USP in a heartbeat. They’re great guns.
cdnn has used hk usp’s for 5 bills
It’s a very decent price. Brand new ones sell for 820.00 at my LGS.
If you want it jump on it. Good luck. ![]()
Summit Gun Broker has used USP for $485
The cheaper ones being mentioned appear to be police trade in guns. The night sights may be dimmer, and the gun will likely show a bit of holster wear. If I were in your shoes, and could pay a bit more for a gun I knew was fresh, could inspect, and had fairly new night sights on it, I would pay the difference.
Used, and used but like new are two different things. $600 for nights and a like new USP is a good deal.
Sounds like a good price to me. That is essentially the discount price HK offers the pistol to Airline Pilots for and that deal is generally considered very good.
If the gun is in top condition, I doubt you will find a better price.
Despite the fact that the design is a little aged compared to the newer HK offerings, it’s a good little dependable pistol.
Thanks guys I appreciate the input. I let the USPc LEM go. Javelin actually saved me some money by telling me to check CDNN. I got the last one that they had. They said it was in excellent condition for $567 shipped. It has night sites, DA/SA (which I personally like better than the LEM), the box , and a 12 round mag.
The USP .40 Compact was $500.00 for airline pilots then it went to $650.00 until October of 2010. I don’t think they even offer the discount anymore but I could be wrong. So, your point is a good one non-the-less as $600.00 for a “like new” USP Compact is not a bad deal. Especially with the night sights.
I picked up a used P2000 .40 light LEM with six magazines (three 12 rounders) for about $590.00 including shipping and FFL charges and I was thrilled. It was a well used LEO’s personal gun but the beauty of the H&K is that the used ones seem to stay tight since they are built so well.
Money well spent, nice job. This forum has a wealth of good info, eh?
I had a similar question. I have a co-worker who is asking $600 for a 9mm USP compact with 2 mags and 5 boxes of FMJ ammo (selling his only handgun). Seems like a decent deal to me. Is that about right or is my thinking all jacked up?
As long as it isn’t destroyed, 600 for a USPc 9mm with 250 rounds sounds great. I just paid 650 for a like new P30s, so deals are out there if you watch and wait.
A plastic frame gun? Use Glock as the benchmark. An H&K is no better or worse than a Glock. Plastic frame, metal slide assembly, both go bang when you pull the trigger.
Glad I could be of some help /
:thank_you2:
I guess it depends on your intended use of the gun and what you decide is a value to you. I bought a USP to convert into a .45 Super pistol and I have about $1800 in the complete setup and I’m happy with my purchase, even happier every time I pull the trigger. I would not have let the LEM USP C go, the trigger is superior to the DA/SA USP triggers, especially once you put some time behind it.
I would grab it !! at that price I payed 650 for a 45 compact HK USP, And could not be happier .To Me this has been the best Pistol I have ever owned and I have owned just about all the others at some time.
