What are the ballistics of the 5.45x39mm, i.e. what range should I zero it at?
I know it is a flat shooting round, but is it similar enough to the 5.56mm that I can use the same 50 yard/200 yard zero I use on my ARs?
The internet seems to be devoid of 5.45 ballistics information other than terminal ballistics (or maybe my search-fu is weak!).
I’ve got an M&P15R that I want to start using as a training rifle.
Thanks in advance.
I use a 100 meter zero; just like with my other ARs
I would suggest the 50/200 yard 0. Works well. The 100 yard 0 has you shooting low at every range but 100.
