I happened upon a video from a group called SHARK, SHowing Animals Respect and Kindness, while perusing shooting videos. SHARK protests the killing of pigeons in PA on what appears to be a consistent basis. The reason I know it appears consistent is they have a lot of videos documenting their actions. A lot of the videos show the gun club’s members doing some really stupid stuff including assault and threatening SHARK volunteers. I really have no dog in the fight and just wanted to give some background info on what I know from a quick 5 minute Google-fest.
On to the incident… I found the most complete video I could of what transpired prior to bubba pulling his holstered pistol from his pocket. Apparently he almost ran over a “protester” or something of that nature and the SHARK people chasing him were trying to get his plate number to ID him later. He then goes on to making threatening statements, assaults a woman and then draws a pistol still holstered from his pocket. After removing the holster from the pistol he brandishes it and points it at both SHARK people and tells them to get on the ground… Anyhow, feel free to discuss his awesome choice of tactics, gear choices, etc.
I agree that among other things the holster situation was laughable, but the “activists” were still over pursuing him and blatantly posed a potential threat. Seemed like they were waiting for their youtube moment and I suppose they got it, but it reeks of their malevolent manipulation.
I only say the latter because you initially seemed to have empathy for the noble pigeon defenders.

EDIT: With a BB gun mind you. And don’t anybody get excited about beers, BB guns and smoking pigeons cause I could care less.
Him “hitting” or “trying to hit” one of the protestors was probably him trying to leave his property or enter it and them blocking/surrounding the car. He applies gas, they get out of the way.
If these guys are so obsessed with video documenting everything why don’t they have that on camera?
Thats what I was thinking. I would carry a camera with me and when these jackwads show up, turn the cameras on them. Most of these types get just as pissed as the ones their trying to record. An old LT. did this when we kept having some religious folks disturbing the peace. They were not so happy when we showed up with a camera of our own. They havent been back.
That’s a big stretch of the imagination. Honestly I could care less about SHARK or their cause but all you have to do is take a couple of minutes to watch a few of their other videos and the guys from the shotgun club are typically the aggressors in any incident I saw posted. They obviously aren’t the smartest pigeon shooters in the world either when they know they’re being filmed and they threaten and assault the video guys on film.
EDIT: Just because Johnny dipshit has a gun and so do I doesn’t automatically mean I take up his cause. He escalated the situation, made threatening statements, assaulted the person with the camera and drew a gun and pointed it at 2 people for no fucking reason. His ass should be in jail and so should the SHARK wingnut for driving like an asshole.
Not really. Blocking ingress/egress to/from private property is a common demonstration tactic.
And BTW, I’m not saying that guy is right, I’m just saying that blocking a vehicle in with a big threatening crowd and then claiming the moving of the vehicle as some kind of assault is very old hat for the dirty hippie crowd.
I get what you’re saying and you’re right. I meant we could sit here and make up hypothetical scenarios that preceded the event all day and there’s where the imagination comes in. From what I’ve seen people who are speeding away and trying to evade the other are typically guilty of something especially when the people chasing aren’t really the “aggressive type”. Like I said, if this guy tried to run people down with his car why isn’t that on tape and why isn’t there some dead or critically injured protestors? Why wasn’t the guy arrested? Apply some common sense. I personally think if there was anything of substance to the protestors claims the guy WOULD have been arrested. Also, innocent people flee from confrontations in an effort to deescalate the situation all the time, I have fled from road ragers at least 2 times in my life while armed, so your statement in that regard is off base.
The driver of the red SUV did know he was being tailed, as evident from the video. Something did transpire before the camera went on, but that looks to be hearsay and no evidence of the vehicular assualt has been presented.
Well they have everything else on tape. Do you think it’s a little strange they missed this guy rampaging through their peaceful protest with his vehicle?

Yeah, I agree he is an idiot. All I am saying is the protestors probably created the situation, and him fleeing doesn’t mean they had any reason to be chasing him. And the cops might know it, which might be why he apparently didn’t get arrested and the hippies got a ticket, LOL.
If all you want to talk about are his tactics, he shouldn’t have stopped unless he went to a Police station, he probably shouldn’t even have been speeding unless they threatened him more substantially than just tailing him. I can’t really see what happens in the video actually, so IDK who assaulted who there initially. Him pulling out the gun with the holster still stuck on it is full retard, in response to a shove or something minor like that even more so. Turning his back and walking away from a threat significant enough for him to have pulled a gun on a few seconds before (in his opinion) is equally retarded. Also, I am pretty damn sure he would have been arrested after this if it had happened around here. Not sure if him not being arrested was due to east coast attitudes about “street justice” or what, LOL. If you find any follow up on that post it.
