He was looking into some new stomping boot and was wondering what type of Merrells people are using.
I’ve had great luck with Merrell Sawtooths, but I think they may have been discontinued. They’re great boots as long as the weather is dry and not too cold.

I’ve got a couple of pair of Sawtooths that I wear regularly. I love them. I’ve had them in hot, cold, wet and dry situations. No problems.
I purchased some Merrell’s from REI that are on sale for $89.

I wear Merrells almost exclusively. Pulse, Sawtooth, others, have all been excellent. The very first pair I acquired many years ago are my lawn-mowing shoes today.
I’ve got a Merrell Chameleon Ventilator Mid a couple of years ago and it’s still my favorite all around boots during the warm seasons.
They might not have the same exact model available now but they have newer improved similar models.
I too have the Sawtooth’s, I bought them for about $80 on a sale and have had no complaints with them. I have used them for trekking in Alaska and for training. They have worked well for both uses. y.m.m.v.
