what kind of laser is this?

anyone know?

B.E. meyers IZLID 200P

There is someone selling one on a local forum for $490

is this considered stolen property or government issued? I am cautious to buy if I can’t use it anywhere.

Considering that retail on a 200P is $3300 give or take I’d be very leery.

he is in the military and it took me 3 weeks just to get in touch with him. Is there anything on the unit thati should look out for to make sure it’s not govt property?

Just me, but I’d steer clear unless you have a need to designate targets for aircraft on NVGs since that’s what it was designed.

The guy is military, selling a $3300 piece of gear that has no practical civilian application for less than $500. That my friend is a clue.

$3300, by bleeding piles. The aperture on those things alone is $2-3000. Try $8000+.

It could also be a 532P-M. Specifics are irrelevant. Those things are significant hazards that make a Class 3R Crimson Trace laser look like a UPC scanner at the supermarket. Forget whether or not you need or want it or can use it anywhere. It’s a restricted item.

He’s committing a crime. NCIS alone has 6 agents dedicated to running down these horsethieves. They will now be looking for him.

thats what i wanted to know. i rather not get my hands on it if it can get me in trouble.

And really, what good is it? As a previous poster noted, unless you (and whoever you’re signaling to) are on NODs, it’s just a useless stick that can make you blind faster than you can say “is it on?”

Instead of wasting money on it (and probably getting a visit from the feds), it’s much more fun to watch it in action by the people who really need them.

It’s like a Harry Potter wand for the military – point it at things and they blow up. Beautiful.
