I am in the market for a new EDC knife and I wanted to see what everyone is carrying these days. I am leaning towards and auto (OTF) but I am open to anything.

although, if you’re interested in auto knives…the all black folder is a Piranha automatic. S30V blade, very nice. i don’t carry it for legal reasons tho.
its pretty stupid that i am allowed to carry a concealed pistol, but not an automatic folder, but oh well, dems da rules.

I carry a Benchmade Griptillian in my pocket and a Leatherman on my belt.

My Emerson Karambit
Benchmade. I believe it is an AFCK without the Axis lock, regular liner lock. ATS-34 steel, combo edge, G10 handles. Gift from my wife for Christmas a few years ago.

I did carry a Benchmade Combat Talon but decided to retire it.
I now carry a Buck Strider 889.

Truth be told, I use the screwdriver and seatbelt cutter (letter opener) moreso than I do the blade. Something is wrong with my life
I carry a Gerber 06 Auto Tanto blade and a Boker Jim Wagner with a Glass Breaker tip. On my duty belt I have a KaBar TDI on my weak side.
I carry two. First is an Emerson M-wave. Second is an Emerson SOCFK. Previous to the M-wave I carried a Spyderco Civilian. Pryer to the SOCFK I carried a Benchmade auto (Stryker I think).

Mine is a Benchmade Mini Auto-Stryker (9530) & I Love it. Could stand a good sharpening though
I really do like the Mini-Rukus alot. Might just have to get me one of those!

I’ve been carrying this Benchmade literally every day for about 12 years or so. Once or twice a year I clean out the dust and tighten it up.
It’s lightweight, flat, easy to carry, holds a very nice edge, and has cut, hacked or sawn open thousands of things over the years. I got it on sale somewhere, and it’s probably the best $35 I ever spent.

Various Spydercos…Endura, Delica, Tasman, Rescue, others.
All eminently functional for EDC tasks required. All inexpensive enough that there’s no hardship if they are lost or have to be ditched.

My current collection of pocket items. What I carry depends on the situation. The small Strider is legal in most places. I like the clip on the Surefire better than the others.
I think in addition to what I am looking for, I am going to have buy a BM Skirmish. I love those.
