What happened to Aimpoint M4/M4S? Also, general M4S question.

I started with H-1’s and then got an M4S. Really preferred the larger optic. The new PRO would be my choice if I was starting now.

I don’t feel too bad about the extra $ I spend on the M4S. Mine was $639 and mostly paid off from a 4MOA M3 I sold.

I love my M4S with Larue lower 1/3 co-witness and will be buying more.

I agree that price and size are the two things that people shy away from with the M4/M4s. I have a M4s and love it. I got a great deal ($550ish new) and I like the larger size. I wanted bombproof, a small dot and rediculously long battery life with common batteries, which is the M4s. I’m happy with my choice. The T-1 is ok but is too small for my taste and when you add a mount its as expensive or more than a M4s.

Some good points in this thread. I went back to the M4s because you don’t need a tool to change batteries, it has easily available batteries (though CR2030’s are not too hard to come by), and I think the switch is a bit more robust than the switch on the T1/H1. The M4s is well worth the price of admission, and the weight is not an issue for me. I do love the size of the T1, but the attributes of the M4/M4s give it the edge for me.

I think there is from American Defence (in form of adapter to AD-B2 base). Soon I will know for sure. I was looking for absolute co-witness, because lower 1/3 (Bobro with Aimpoint spacer) sits awfully hight on my HK upper. BTW Bobro works with M4S only with spacer, to use it w/o one you need file down side of mount to make clearance for battery. Some 1-2mm.

Larue and ADM both make one. With Larue just select what height mount you want when checking out.

Love my M4s on the 6933. Bought from LaRue -M4s and Larue QD mount-$751. I like the 2MOA. Will be ordering(from LaRue) another M4s today or tomorrow for the 6920.

I like the hardiness of the design. Discovered the M4s in a Pat Rogers class when he took one(of his) threw it hard against a tree, and told me to use it to see if I liked it. Didn’t like it, loved it. Since I will be purchasing NVG’s soon, the NV settings are another reason to go with the M4s.
