I apologize in advance if this has been covered already but tonight while hunting, my new ar15 managed to get a live round stuck in the chamber with bcg completely closed.shooting at a jack rabbit on the run I fired 3 rounds and connected, threw it on safe and went to retrieve the rabbit.got back to the car and dropped the mag to make weapon safe for the ride home.went to eject the round in the chamber and no go! Frozen solid.i examined the spent casings and they seem normal.no popped primers or separated heads or anything like that.the stuck round also looked fairly normal,slightly scratched up but nothing unusual.any help would be greatly appreciated,thank you so much

You need to provide us with the type of ammunition you used and what brand upper this round is stuck in.
Upper is a PSA. Ammo is my reloads.more specifically federal brass,50gr zmax bullets

Are you using a full length sizing die?
Yes sir I am.on the round that was stuck there is small but fairly deep scratches on the side of the brass if this means anything or helps any?
Burr in the chamber?
I haven’t read anything about PSA having rough chambers, but anything is possible with those guys.
Hmmmm…well looking down the chamber I don’t see any burrs or anything.deep scratches are not on any of the spent casings.the only thing I can come up with is i may have short stroked it while resizing that particular casing?
The resizing die is not squeezing the brass down/bumping the shoulder back far enough.
Classic symptom.

Like Ironman8 said… you need to use a case guage. It’s the easier way to set up the sizing die…

Yeah… you’d be surprised at just how little the round can be out of spec on that guage and choke a rifle.
Another question,apart from it being annoying does this damage the rifle in anyway?even though this is the first time this has happened to me in the thousands of rounds I have reloaded I am now second guessing my skills and have become paranoid
No damage to the rifle. Keep the bolt lugs lubed so they slip into the Barrel extension nicely. You want to get the situation corrected though.
If the rounds will cycle when fired… you can get away with shooting any remaining ammo.
