So I had a complete N4 light reese on order from noveske, but decided to just get the upper and stripped lower after reading about how easy it is to build an AR lower. But now I am not so sure about the reliabilty of a home made lower. Specfically the lpk, and RE. I am going to be using a DD lpk and will be swapping out the trigger and hammer for a SSA gieselle. The included RE kit (from palmetto) is DSA, not so sure that they are all that good so I am going to order a whole new set up from BCM.
My question is are the DD lpks quality? I dont see what else can really break in the lower, but the last thing I want is to be uncomfortable with a rifle. (so much so that I was thinking about buying a 6920, swapping the parts I wanted (LPK and RE) and reselling it.
DD makes great LPK’s but truthfully, here would be my first choice. You get quality components and a Magpul trigger guard from a great vendor. Just my .02
Grant is very helpful on the forums, but his SSA trigger is 25 dollars more than anyone else. Does he often have sales?
