What are your top five SHOT show predictions and/or feasible wants this year

Things I am hoping/praying are shown at SHOT this year

  1. SBR HK 416/MR556 uppers compatible with all AR15 lowers

  2. Factory SBR SCAR 16S barrels

  3. Factory light weight 1/7 SBR ACR barrels

  4. G19 size M&P (Snip beaver tail, take some off the muzzle and grip, 15 round mags)

  5. Proper milspec SIG 551 LB clone

Any of the above would make me a happy gun buyer in 2010

Doesn’t shot show usually consist of firearms that are already out?

I’ll still play…

I want to see…

  1. a US made mag fed semi auto shotgun

  2. “improved ergonomics” rifle dedicated to 7.62x39mm and takes AK mags (never will happen though).

  3. the return of an improved bushmaster m17 bullpup rifle.

  4. belt fed conversions

  5. railed-up uzis, sterlings, macs, and other pistol caliber carbines.

[ol]
[li]mutha freakin 5.45x39 mags by someone other than CProducts; or a redesign.[/li]
[li]new subgun options in 9mm…preferably a CZ Scorpion EVO3 a1 [/li]
[li]Vltor Suppressors [/li]
[li]M&P 22LR pistol [/li]
[li]a weapon mounted light option similar to the x300, but made by Fenix or someone else with an affordable, good light rep. [/li][/ol]

-A well thought out pistol caliber carbine in a non ar platform.

-More rail systems with a full length rail at 12 O’clock but allow the user to chose where he wants to place sections of rail if at all like the Troy rail.

-More single stack polymer handguns. Preferably in 45 acp but I’d take 9MM or 40 S&W.

  1. M&P Compact “slim” (read: single stack) - I hope
  2. More OD or tan framed handguns - Would be nice
  3. The Remington ACR replaces the Bushmaster ACR - I wish
  4. SBR barrels for ACR and SCAR - We’re still waiting…
  5. Factory NATO stocked Steyr Augs A3’s for North America - I’d start saving pennies.

This is out already, check buds guns.

A patrol carbine from Glock?

:jester:

How long has this fabled beast been coming?

  1. Rifle lenght MOE handguards
  2. An ACR with less suck
  3. 3-4 more remington 700 chassis
  4. Announcement of a Magpul TV show
  5. A bunch of crap I can’t buy till 2013

Maybe it’s just me…

But I’d like to see the following.

ACR in 7.62x39mm as promised.
Surefire weapon light with strobe
Quad stack reliable AK magazines (American made)
Some new bullpup designs
KAC PDW in both 6x35mm & maybe 7.62x39mm :stuck_out_tongue:

I definitely agree on the 1/7 SBR barrel for the ACR. That would make me a happy gun buyer in 2011.

Things I want

  1. A lighter weight barrel option for the LMT MWS.

  2. 5.45 wishlist: caliber conversion for ACR, new magazine options, new domestic ammo options.

  3. Daniel Defense 308 carbine based on SR25 pattern with the “Lighter, Stronger, Better” motto in mind!

  4. FN announces their intent to cover the world in SCAR-H magazines.

  5. Surefire 1 AA battery light like the E1B.

Any of the above would make me a happy gun buyer, but probably in 2012!

This

And this, cheaper :o

A military grade 6V tac-light that takes AA batteries.

A military grade assault rifle in the $500-600 dollar range - perhaps properly executed AR-180.

Real M16A1 bbls in 1/12 or the original 1/14.

Straight 25rd AR mags like the OEM mag for the FAMAS.

See Trijicon put the RX06 14MOA chevron reticule in the RX30. And, while they are at it, take the electronic system in the RMR and put it in this same unit.

A military grade assault rifle in the $500-600 dollar range - perhaps properly executed AR-180.

never gonna happen in this economy. Especially when it’s “military grade” hardware. There goes added costs.

Made in Switzerland, please. Not the sometimes cheesy stuff we see from Exeter.

A little birdy told me this may be granted very soon.

While displaying your current wares is a big part, lots of companies announce new things or show off things they are working on (and want public).

Only one prediction, and it’s very feasible:

I am going to need bail $$$ for beating the living bejeezus out of one or several of those inconsiderate halfwits with the rolling milk-crates because the fat-lazy-stupid shwagwhores don’t care whose shins they bang into with their hoard.

The only questions are what day(s) the beat-down(s) will occur, whether or not I will use their own crate to beat them like the world is running out of beatings.

SIG announcing the departure of Ron Cohen and a whole bunch of goose stepping pipe hitting Krauts coming over to clean house.

That would make me very happy.
