Went to the Albuquerque, NM tea party today. Seemed to be a great turn out, people are PISSED to say the least. Good! The croweds loved my Hummer too…![]()

Whoa, you have a legit hummer too.
Very nice.
I really dig 90’s military stuff.
Great, your pissed. Why are you pissed? What are you going to do about it? What are your solutions to actually move forward?
I’ve been watching the Tea Party since its first protest, and while I understand the need for a soap box, I have yet to see anything real come forward.
Trust me, I’m pissed too. Have been since Clinton, and then when Bush came along and paved the way for all the bull shit we’re seeing today I couldn’t keep quiet. Next thing you know we have bail outs, my friends have PTSD, I was laid off, have no insurance, and Palin was actually given air time. Totally PISSED.
Oh yea, nice Hummer.
I may be overreacting but I officially feel old now.![]()
Perhaps you haven’t been watching close enough. The Tea Party down here in Florida is largely responsible for the rise of a truly conservative candidate running for the U.S. Senate (Marco Rubio) as well as largely responsible for the current RINO governor, who is also running for the same Senate seat, seriously considering a switch in parties (from Republican to Independent.)
At least a half-dozen Democrats have declared that they won’t be running for re-election this November. Many Democrats that are running will be in the political fight of their lives.
Dont’ be too quick to dismiss the effects of the “soap box”. It is vital part as well. It provides a visible, tangible look at how upset with the current administration The People truly are.
Rubio is not a true conservative. Maybe in speech, but not in actions. He doesn’t practice what he preaches.
Whats fiscally conservative about racking up over a hundred thousand dollars in personal charges on a GOP credit card?
That’s old news. He had paid off those charges before the stink even began. It was simple dirty politics from the Crist camp. (who by the way was found to have made charges on his GOP cc…)
Its old news, but it shows he doesn’t walk the walk.
I thought Crist said he never used a GOP credit card?
I felt the same way as you. Until last night. I was listening to the radio and they were discussing the Tea Party’s Contract From America.
I found myself getting excited about what was in it.
I would love to see this convince some politicians into giving up there business as usual ways and start acting like true conservatives.
Well sitting around in your house isn’t going to fix anything either! At the very least, get out and go to an event and see what they are about and get involved.

Thats my thought. Its kinda sad that our countrys highest morale is at a protest…![]()
Gee, supporting the events, signing/circulating petitions, talking to candidates for various offices, voting in the local and primary elections, writing/calling representatives, participating in the local 912 Project meetings, eliminating personal debt, etc. So WTF have you been doing besides sitting on your ass whining?
The primary frustration I hear at the various events is that a national agenda is being pursued that is driving this country into another Weimar Republic, the people are speaking out but the clowns in DC don’t seem to listen. While the PTB feign indifference, the amount of effort put into marginalizing the Tea Party movement says otherwise. Many are worried that they have pushed too much, too fast and it will cost them their positions of power.
It is easy to feel “beat down” by the constant assaults on personal freedom and BS being spoon fed to the masses via the MSM. There is great benefit in attending these gatherings just to know that one is not alone - there are many others just as concerned and wanting to “do something”. You meet people, you talk, pass information, organize, learn who’s who. Hmm, doesn’t sound so meaningless to me.
