Went hog wild on the shotguns lately

I went a bit shotgun crazy over the last couple of months

1st one is my old 11-87

Cut 28" bbl down to 22" and rethreaded
Nordic extension

2nd one is my M2

21"bbl
Nordic+5 extension so I can carry 9+1
Nordic bolt handle
Nordic bolt release button
welded up lifter
and I opened up the feed area

and this is an used police wingmaster

cut bbl to 18" and threaded
reduced LOP stock
XS tritium front bead

All barrel work was done by Pete aka Gunkat at Rose Action Sports and I must say that he is a great guy and does great work. I’ve sent a couple more people his way and they have all been extremely happy.

Next thing on the list is a surefire foreend for the 870

On that M2, is the barrel a factory length? Or did you have it cut down? I’m getting into 3-gun and need a 22" or so for tactical div. I heard you couldn’t cut Benelli barrels due to the chrome lining… Also, can you put an M2 barrel in an M1? Mines and HK import.

and on the benelli it’s a factory 21" BBL

Nice guns.

I’m not going so much hog wild on shotguns but I am giving my 870 a very special workover (upgraded internals) and external parts in the configuration I’ve always wanted but never been able to afford. I haven’t shot it in about a year, so it’s time to rehab it and make it a favorite again.

Were you able to run 9 without the extended cap?

i was not and even with the +1 cap, i had to trim the nordic follower down.

Thanks. I have the Nordic +5 but I haven’t installed it yet. I did read that depending on how much you cut the spring, you may get -1. Mine is also a M2 Field 21".

Now you need to get some slugs and go shotgun wild on some hogs! :smiley:

I have been looking at getting an 870 again of late simply to see what some rifled slugs will do to a piggy. Nothing like soft-tissue ballistic testing you can eat when you are done!
