Well my wife has given me a choice and I have to choose soon.

Its between going to see Shreck in 3D or the flea market today. I would rather eat broken glass than do either.

Maybe the earth will open up and swallow the theater and the flea market.

Then I can go shooting.

I can dream cant I?

ETA: She left out having a heart attack and spending 4 days in the hospital because thats what I wound up doing.

Quick, get drunk and she won’t want you anywhere near her. Then, take a nap and sleep it off; wake up and head for the range.

Do I have to plan everything for you people?

Im pretty sure if you do the broken glass trick, you wont have to do either :stuck_out_tongue:

…the flea market is cheap entertainment sometimes. All kinds of weird crap to see in the ones down along the border.

Haven’t been in years but I have quite a collection of Snap-On tools that came from flea markets.

Not sure if I believe it, but as the old saying goes, happy wife, happy life

Be positive, odds are pretty good that you’ll laugh no matter which you end up doing.

I don’t know about your flea markets, but the ones here in PA are great.

Between the food (most of ours have some great food vendors), all the odd balls and crackpots walking around, it is like going to the Circus.

I usually peruse all the tools for sale, there is usually a deal or two out there. Our flea markets usually have guns, ammo etc… for sale also.

I scored a nice set of Starret calipers for $10 last month, and a brand new .30 caliber ammo can full (about 400 rounds) of once fired LC .30-06 brass for $20.

Some days I don’t come home with anything…some days I find a gem.

definitely go with the flea market.

Definitely the flea market. There is usually some good stuff to be had, and you just never know what.

Last one I bought an M1 Carbine in great shape from an old WWII vet for $300. Not only did I get a great little rifle, but a pretty awesome story of his service with it.

Hell, that’s an easy choice. Given the title of the thread I was expecting something awful, like ‘me or the guns’. Eek!

The Flea Market is definitely the winner. They’ve got milsurp, antique knives and tools, some guns sometimes, and human bottom-feeders to entertain you. Shrek probably only has the latter and then it’s too dark to make fun.

Wow! That mustve been awesome. Guns with a bit of history or interesting stories are definite keepers.
Just curious though… Didnt the army take back all their issued weapons after WWII?

This is Funny! :stuck_out_tongue:

3D makes me feel waves of nausea and a headache. Could you take a sleeping pill and snooze through Shreck?

I had to let the wife has $2k of new furniture, to get 2 AR’s this month. :stuck_out_tongue: Sometimes, you just GOTTA bite the bullet.

Who knows - you just might find some good UTG gear at the market o’ fleas!

Movie theater. If the feature is that painful, bring some ear plugs and take a nap. It is a dark room where you’re just sitting in a chair for an hour and a half.

Another vote for the movie. You can nap through the movie, all the flea markets around here are full of useless junk.

Tell her you’ll go to one of her choosing so long as you get some road head on the way…

Go to the MOVIES.

Thats a fixed price, 2 tickets, yah know what im sayin. She might go to the flea market and lose her marbles. A flea market just invites exponential spending.

Thats a real man of genius moment. I toast you sir.

Flea Market. Worst case scenario you’re there, you guys find nothing of interest and go on with your day.

Best case scenario you mya find something gun related that you like.

An interesting alternative (which has worked for me in the past) is a tour of a local winery. 99 out of 100 women would probably go for that, and you look like the good guy for suggesting it.

I agree, but if you have a project or something that you want to buy some stuff for then the ideal time is right after she’s bought a bunch of useless shit and is feeling guilty about it. Also works when she’s looking at some ungodly expensive piece of crap but isn’t sure how you’ll react to it.

The last time it happened for me it went like this: She’s looking at some purse or something online and says “Honey what would you think of that?” I say “If you but that purse I’m buying a gun.” She thinks for a sec and says “OK.”

You could ask her why she wants you to do something that you hate when you could be doing something you enjoy.
