Elizabeth Lloyd was struck by the baseball when she was sitting at a picnic table near the fenced-in bullpen where catcher Matthew Migliaccio was practicing with a pitcher. The lawsuit accuses the young baseball player of assault and battery and causing severe permanent pain to Lloyd.
No one was more shocked to hear the news than Migliaccio’s parents themselves. Matthew’s father, Bob, admitted that they showed concern for Lloyd at first, but when his son started receiving threatening letters and then papers serving him, the entire situation became infuriating
They have turned this place into a hell of insanity, its virtually as though “Stephen King” is writing it all, as we’re living it…
That stupid fucking whore is going to lead directly to policy changes where police are no longer allowed to save hostages in such a manner. This will of course lead directly to dead hostages the could have been saved.
Every person in this country should line up and punch that stupid bitch in the mouth and kick her fucking lawyer in the ass. They should both then be sued for 80% of their net worth and that money used to fund hostage rescue teams across the nation.
To avoid “Training Scars” when designing the next COF in IDPA when the shooter comes across a Bad Guy and a No Shoot (Hostage) targets we will have them stop, re-holster and instruct them to use soothing language toward the Bad Guy Target…
or tell them its OK to shoot the No Shoots from now on as it will be cheaper to incarcerate the Bad Guy than get sued for saving a litigious Hostage:rolleyes:
The husband of the wife is also suing the young man because of “The loss of consortium” with his wife. Old boy couldn’t get his porpoise polished by his wife so he’s suing for that.
I hope those bastards rot!
My boy has been in baseball for 8 years now. I can’t tell you how many people have been hit by a ball at a game. Not one person has ever sued a child. I can honestly tell you that if that happened here, the person that was doing the suing would have a lot more to worry about. It’s all about your community.
My hats off to the father of the young man for not coming unglued and smashing that bitches face into the next world.
My faith gets tested severely when I see bullshit crap like this happen to people.
Don’t want to get hit by a baseball, don’t go to the damn game! If you do, bring a glove!
I can actually envision this scenario unfolding at a future hostage taking situation. Officer at the scene with a remote camera and mike on his person to record said event.
Officer to hostage: “Sir/Ma’am, I perceive that you are in a deadly threat situation. Is that your perception also?”
Hostage: “Yes it is. Do something for God’s sake!”
Officer: “I can eliminate this deadly threat to you right now if you wish. Do you want me to proceed?”
Hostage: “Yes! Just do something, anything. I can’t hold out much longer.”
Officer: “OK, I see and understand your predicament. Before I can proceed to eliminate the deadly threat to you, department policy requires that you must answer one question in a clear and loud voice. And please face this camera. Can you do that?”
Hostage: “Yes I can. Now for Pete’s sake, what the hell is the question?”
Officer: “Upon elimination of said deadly threat, will you be considering taking legal action against me, and or the police department, and or the township? Remember this conversation is being recorded for both of our protection and anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.”
Hostage: “Are you shitting me?!!!”
Officer: “Please answer the question.”
Hostage: “How in hell would I know what I’m going to do if I survive this situation.”
Officer: “Then I highly recommend that you consult with your attorney before we can proceed. Do you concur?”
Hostage Taker: “Can I go now? This seems to be something between you two and I really don’t want to get in the middle of this if you know what I mean.”
Officer: “Uhh, sure, no harm, no foul. Have a nice day.”
Hostage: “Are you friggin insane? Shit, I might as well be on my way too?”
Officer: “Hold on Sir/Ma’am. That ends the deadly threat situation. We now move into the aftermath situation. Before I can proceed, department policy requires that I ask you this one question …!” :suicide2:
I am so sick of this crap going on anymore its insane !
I saw the ball story yesterday and thought the same thing ?
what is wrong with people we have to go to a system where if you want to sue someone go ahead but if you loose the suit you have to pay the side you were suing what you were suing for !!!
I hope the PD’s Hostage Rescue policy changes to "Have Officer question hostage “If I save you will you sue me or my Department?” If they answer “yes”, walk away.
