I have a 14.5" middy BCM upper with a government profile barrel. Does anyone know the comparative weight of the lightweight profile complete upper? I have the model without handguards.
i have two nearly identical setups the only difference being a 16" govt middy vs 16" LW middy and MOE buttstock vs ACS buttstock. There is an 11oz difference between these setups so you can find the difference in the upper weights by finding the weight difference between the MOE and ACS stocks
16" barrels with mid-length gas systems. The savings in going from GI to A1 profile in a carbine-length gas 14.5" barrel should actually be very slightly more. It’s important to note here that the A1 barrel in the pics has the .750" gas block and there are more savings to be had in a .625" gas block, although nothing major.
