So my new BCM BCG just came in today and I found wear on the lower carrier rails and on the bolt face. I haven’t ordered a BCG from them before. Is this normal results from testing, or did a get a blemished one?

Mine arrived the same way. Dirty. Now its filthy :). All is well.
Normal. They test fire all BCGs before leaving. All mine have looked like that.
That’s not actually wear. It’s brass. From test firing.
If you buy a BCG from anybody and it doesn’t have brass markings like that, return it. Because that means it wasn’t test fired.
That’s what I was hoping, and expecting to hear. I just wanted to make sure.
Everything seems to be in place with it. The bolt is still a bit stiff, but I covered it with Fireclean and cycled it a few times. I figure it’ll break in and close more easily with some time and shooting.
Yessir. The gas rings should be tight at first. You did the right thing with the lube. Give it 100 rounds or so and it’ll loosen up.
