I would appreciate your input; what is best pressure switch for weapon light to be mounted on 16 inch carbine with 15 inch M-LOK rails and no vertical grip? What is most ideal/secure mounting arrangement? Note: I want to conserve my duct tape that is dedicated for car, clothing, shoe, and appliance repair.
There are a few M-LOK adapters that will hold tape switches. Just Google “mlok tape switch” for options.

I prefer mounting lights on the off-hand side of the rifle with a tail cap switch. I try to avoid wires on rifles when possible.
I too prefer weak hand clickies. Push for light without any wires. This is a Ford Chevy thing as most have a preference either based on their experiences or what they have read or been told about. In my past years I was taught push for white light, squeeze for IR. Now I only have the white light but old habits are there. You’ll also find many that only prefer momentary on on a rifle versus clicky constant.

What kind of light are we talking about?
A lot of people like using offset light mounts. Most like 1-2 o’clock position if right handed, or 10-11 o’clock if left handed. Mount it wherever you feel comfortable.
If using pressure switch, get a rail mounted pressure switch adapter thingy (or zip ties) and mount it up top.
I’m just an average joe civilian, but I recently went from no wires like the guys above to using a Cloud Defensive Mount with my scout lights, and not just on my ARs. Mount is solid and the regular Surefire pressure switch is cheap and easy to come by. It has a nice channel in it to route the wire to keep things neat.
