“Re-education.”
For some reason I don’t like the sound of that.
When someone from the administration says we need self-criticism sessions in front of the local cadre, I’ll be loading mags…
I don’t suppose anyone bothered to ask Sebelius if she’s actually read and understands all 2,000-odd pages of the law?
I haven’t read it all either, but I have read enough to know I don’t like it and want nothing to do with it. Maybe that’s what she meant by “misinformation” - people are reading it and coming to the same conclusion.
“We have to pass it to find out what’s in it.” echoes ominously in my mind…
Does anyone else feel that the current administration is just trying to buy it’s support for various social programs? Everything that is getting passed is handing literally tens of millions of dollars to different groups of people / programs just to try and create some kind of goodwill.
Every single administration for the last 100 years has done this.
Very true, but not at the rate of this one.
Indeed; it seems this administration is hell bent on bankrupting the treasury and selling its own people to the NWO for some power and wealth & security when the SHTF…
That’s because we’ve heard of other dictators using it before…it didn’t turn out well back then either.
Could the same reason the American public might need to be “educated” on Obama-Care be the same reason the Senators didn’t read the bill?
Disregard
The fact of the matter is that some education, or “re-education” is, in fact, in order because almost no one read the goddamn thing. People who supported it, people who opposed it, did so on grounds of FUD (Fear, Unknowing, and Doubt). Now, for better or worse, it’s law and it would behoove the the administration to make clear to the public the what the bill is and what the bill isn’t (since they sure as shit didn’t bother when they were trying to pass it). That’s all that’s being said here, no more, no less.
Resentment over how the bill was passed is justified, making all sorts of vague communist/fascist innuendos over someone saying that the misinformation needs to be dealt with isn’t. This isn’t thought camp, this is fact camp.
Actually I opposed it on the grounds I read and understood it.
For the first time in America the citizens will be required to purchase a product and pay for it.
Now before you start in with “but we pay property taxes, income tax, social security, etc.”
You can CHOOSE not to own property and not have to pay property tax.
You can CHOOSE not to be employed and not have to pay income tax or social security.
The Obama Health Care bill is the first time American no longer have a choice. You MUST buy health care or face penalties.
And let’s not even get into how it doesn’t even solve the fucking problem. If you currently do not have health care because you can’t afford it, being required to buy it doesn’t make it suddenly affordable. While we are at it why don’t we solve the homeless problem by requiring everyone to buy a house.
Bottom line is the ONLY REASON it passed is because a bunch of dumb fucks thought it would be FREE like everything else. They expected it to be like welfare and other social services where they tax the “haves” and give it to the “have nots.”
That is the ONLY good part, that a bunch of stupid fucking leeches are in for a wake up call when the Obamacare plan goes into effect and they are essentially “taxed” for their free health care.
And for those of us who have a pretty clear understanding of the issue, we get damn offended when some asshat comes along and says we are only opposed to it because we aren’t educated.
And for those of us who have a pretty clear understanding of the issue, we get damn offended when some asshat comes along and says we are only opposed to it because we aren’t educated.
That’s not how I interpreted it. I interpreted it is as a bunch of morons who supported this bill, then saw the bill passed and began to learn what that it wasn’t free, then started opposing the bill AFTER IT HAD BEEN PASSED (at least, that’s the only explanation I have for the numbers represented in the article). I absolutely agree that re-education is appropriate to state clearly what the bill IS and what the bill ISN’T for the majority of the American people. More demagoguery from the right or left helps no one. I think then, and only then, when everybody understands the FACTS of the bill, can the polling and noise amount to anything meaningful.
Look, for whatever my opinion’s worth, this bill shouldn’tve passed, and it certainly shouldnt’ve passed as quickly and with as little review as it did, but it’s law now and a comprehensive and clear understanding of that law by the majority of the American public is well overdue. In that vein, I fully support the “re-education”, regardless of the fact that it sounds kinda vaguely like something some dictator might’ve once said, post-translation, of course.
I work in the health insurance industry. We had a meeting yesterday on what will be taking effect this month. Here’s a few facts.
Children 18 and under cannot have claims denied for preexisting conditions. If everyone is required to buy insurance there won’t be such a thing as preexisting conditions because then everyone has had prior creditable coverage when switching but I digress…
Dependents are eligible until age 26 regardless if in college or not.
No more cost sharing for routine care, no deductibles, copays etc. for phyysicals, mammograms etc. However, The Dept of Health and Human Services will now define what is routine. Judging by some of the thins that have come out of Sebllius’ mouth, abortion could now be considered routine for all we know.
Patients cannot be denied claims for essential care, again, The Dept of Health and Human Services will now define what is essential care.
As of now that’s all I’ve been briefed on.
Thanks for the information, Caesar. This is exactly the sort of information, in exactly this sort of form, that I believe would greatly improve the healthcare debate on any and all sides. It also clears up a number of conflicting accounts I’ve personally heard of the bill’s contents.
Things are going according to plan. . .
GTFO…Obama alone made OVER TWENTY speeches about HC before the thing was passed, and still no one knew exactly what the pile of shit was supposed to do. If the CINC cant even articulate what they are doing with over 20 speeches how am I expected to know what the fuck it does?
I don’t need a government reeducation on this shit. I just want it repealed, and a bunch of other laws along with it.
What I do know for a fact is ins companies are drilling the shit out of plans right now. Its basic economic law that the more services you provide (voluntarily or involuntarily) the more its going to cost you. Obama is forcing ins companies to cover a bunch of undesirable card carriers, and now its going to cost me money. I havent been to a doctor in the last 2 years at least, and yet now I get to get charged more because now no kid can be denied hundreds of thousands in medical care even if when signed up has already been diagnosed with some cancer.
Do that to auto insurance. Ill go buy a car out of a junk yard, and take it to my insurance company demanding a brand new car because mine is damaged. This is the stupidest most asinine BS ever, and its STUPID how many people can’t see this thing is designed to kill private insurance. When a family of 4 cant get a basic plan for under 750 a month they know people will be clamoring for a government take over, and the dems will be hoping up and down talking about how private insurance is so expensive the gov could do it for a lot cheaper, little Suzy with leukemia will live a long life, and no more greedy profits. People are too stupid to realize the main reason insurance costs so much is because of government mandates and “intervention” in a private business.
Oh you also have to report the total dollar value of your health care plan on your federal taxes.

Is your health care plan a taxable asset?
