Who ever thought we were winning the argument for our rights is not looking at the big picture. Granted we that the federal government “could” not be passing any of the new AWBs that Feinstein has proposed, but we are loosing states that have large firearms communities with these draconian laws that are being rammed down throats, the same way Obamacare was done.
What I fear worse is that we are a long way off to the mid-terms, and the way the American’s people’s attention span is, we may not rebound. The liberals have the power and they know it, and they are flaunting everything they have at us (which is bogus). We need to remind them they won by a slim margin in the populace vote, yet they think they won by a large majority.
What are we going to do? SCOTUS? Vote them out? Year by year those options are getting harder? 3rd Party? Hate to tell you all, but the 3rd party idea is why we have Barack Hussein Obama back in the newly minted Iron Throne. If the liberalterians would concentrate more into reforming the current Republican party that has a lot of like minded members running in the contrails of the establishment, we could in fact turn the tide. It may have an R by the name, but you can change the engine in the body.
Support your grassroots! Here in TN we threw out a Republican state rep with a big “R” by her name because she did not bring up the guns in cars at work bill. TFA shut her down even though she had out spent her opponent. THEY DO WORK!
Educate the people? How? The media runs the narrative. Take someone shooting for the first time: that is about to end in CO!
How about the NRA? Are they really helping? To be honest they have been propping up has been narratives that people are laughing about, and the current leadership seems to be nervous when speaking in public.
We are losing. Not crushingly, but slowly. If the liberals and progressives can crush and snuff out the gun culture, they have won. If people let outside entities subject their voted representatives their whelms and that theirs, we have lost.
What hurts us the most is that we do not in fact control the narrative, no matter how many lobbyist we put forth, or money we spend.
Whatever it is we need to do, we need to do it now. The last thing we need is to be broke, angry…
