We are LOSING!

Who ever thought we were winning the argument for our rights is not looking at the big picture. Granted we that the federal government “could” not be passing any of the new AWBs that Feinstein has proposed, but we are loosing states that have large firearms communities with these draconian laws that are being rammed down throats, the same way Obamacare was done.

What I fear worse is that we are a long way off to the mid-terms, and the way the American’s people’s attention span is, we may not rebound. The liberals have the power and they know it, and they are flaunting everything they have at us (which is bogus). We need to remind them they won by a slim margin in the populace vote, yet they think they won by a large majority.

What are we going to do? SCOTUS? Vote them out? Year by year those options are getting harder? 3rd Party? Hate to tell you all, but the 3rd party idea is why we have Barack Hussein Obama back in the newly minted Iron Throne. If the liberalterians would concentrate more into reforming the current Republican party that has a lot of like minded members running in the contrails of the establishment, we could in fact turn the tide. It may have an R by the name, but you can change the engine in the body.

Support your grassroots! Here in TN we threw out a Republican state rep with a big “R” by her name because she did not bring up the guns in cars at work bill. TFA shut her down even though she had out spent her opponent. THEY DO WORK!

Educate the people? How? The media runs the narrative. Take someone shooting for the first time: that is about to end in CO!

How about the NRA? Are they really helping? To be honest they have been propping up has been narratives that people are laughing about, and the current leadership seems to be nervous when speaking in public.

We are losing. Not crushingly, but slowly. If the liberals and progressives can crush and snuff out the gun culture, they have won. If people let outside entities subject their voted representatives their whelms and that theirs, we have lost.

What hurts us the most is that we do not in fact control the narrative, no matter how many lobbyist we put forth, or money we spend.

Whatever it is we need to do, we need to do it now. The last thing we need is to be broke, angry…

What’s funny is that this is what they seem to be doing on purpose, despite the fact that they’re the ones who it’d end badly for.

With some states refusing to enforce federal gun bans, Sheriffs around the country pushing back, manufacturers pushing back, online vendors pushing back----no, I don’t think we’re losing.

The left has finally stepped in its own arrogance and people are realizing that their claims to be in favor of 2A “with reasonable restrictions” is just horseshit. They want our guns and a lot of them are saying it openly.

While I agree that people in some states are shit up a creek all of a sudden, I honestly believe the gun grabbers have overreached this time and they’re getting ready to have their asses handed to them one way or another.

There’s not a nationwide ammunition shortage for nothing. If people are buying stuff in these quantities then it’s clear they don’t expect to just “turn the stuff in.”

No, I know we have a lot of fighting left to do, but I think the American public is awake and onto the gun grabbers’ real agenda now. That genie will never go back in the bottle.

Dude. After all that shit they STILL got CO.

There’s no reason to think that it isn’t going to happen to OR, or WA next.

What’s Loose?

I’m trying so hard not to make a “your mom” joke right now, you have no idea.

Touche.

The problem we are facing is the ignorant electric voting for free stuff (a one or two issue only voter) and staying home and out of politics until it is time to keep their free stuff coming. This is where we have degraded to. Meanwhile, those retards they elected like they were some Student Government Body are ramrodding everything home so when the creatures come out to look at their record that yes, they did something, even though a multitude of people did not want it.

This thing in CO passed by a damn slim margin, and the way it was done was very underhanded, and we are loosing to shit like that.

I do feel that American’s are waking up, but it will be too late. The last thing we need is a civil war…a war that we will never recover from, and a war that will be even uglier than the fiasco of 1861-1865. And we are still fighting over that one. Yet, it seems we are marching lock-step towards with both sides not doing a thing to stop it. Our dear leader for one injecting his narcissism into the country’s general conversation is very bad; but those like Yeager are not helping either.

How about this, and I know some take pause into this but maybe we need to educate the rest of America about Sheepdogs amongst us that do not hold an enforcement capacity. No, they do not dream up Hollywood fantasy gun fights, but they do read, review and train for actual encounters, which Hollywood rips from the headlines… They understand that there are crazy people out there to do harm, and those sheepdog will not hesitate to stop a mass murderer, but they do not go out and look for them. They do not view themselves as law enforcement. But they know they could be in bad situations that most law enforcement officers respond after the fact. Those sheepdogs are your neighbors, your friends, your co-workers, your class-mates…your fellow Americans. Americans that excise their rights for protection, sport, and hunting more than criminals abuse theirs to kill others.

But if you beat the sheepdog more than praise him, shelter him because of fear that he might turn against the flock, remove the parts of his teeth that in case he turns on the flock their will be less damage, than how effective is that sheepdog going to be when the wolves appear? How will you defend yourself when the thing that was your primary source of protection is dead because it could not fight back? When the Mambia hotel massacre happened, the responding Indian police botched the rescue and neutralization of the enemy combatants in the hotel. They had poor training, and that poor training was lead by the snuffing of a gun culture that did not exists. And since grown-men who choose to be sheepdogs for the communities were not exposed to the tools they were going to use to put down invading wolves, they could not defend their flock aquatically.

Educate people. Tell people what you can, can’t and will do when some psycho, or some derange criminal comes. We are not cops; but at that moment, they are not here, but we are.

If guns create domestic terrorists, than words create instant grammar Nazis. :dirol::dance3:

What can I say, words are just as important as bullets, and are our first line of defense against tyranny.
One hopes that they do the job before we need to utilize what others seek to ban.

And well we all know what happens when guns are misused, you could end up like Texas Grebner or worse, please don’t let words lead you to the same fate.:dance3::dirol:

Point taken.

I’ll just do what POTUS does, blame it on spellcheck and hooked-on-phonics.

Why do they say that?

I read that the other day. Said anything in WA gun-wise is unlikely.

All they have to do is make it extremely difficult, if not impossible, for the next generation to grow up in the gun culture. Make it hard to buy ammo, spy on your purchases, make people afraid to shoot their unregistered semi auto, indoctrinate the kids at public school. Within 20-30 years, no more 2A. No more balance of power. No more limits on power. Just abuse.

And no way to revolt to turn it around.

Not without tremendous difficulty

Although I am normally an upbeat person…I have to agree with the original poster here…we ARE losing.

Ok, so the anti-gun stuff on the national level is at a stand still…it could still go very bad for us in the end.

Then, we have all these states enacting their own anti-gun laws. NY, CO and maybe MO. NY was not a shocker but CO and MO used to be pretty pro-gun places…were they not?

Then, you factor in the media, minus Fox News Channel and talk radio, basically putting out a 24-7 assault on guns, gun owners and anything pro-2nd amendment. Celebrities and prominent media figures mouthing off right and left and getting plenty of air time while doing it and nobody calling them out on their ignorant statements.

Sure, a few Sheriff depts here and there are sticking up for us, but yeah…in the big picture of things…we are LOSING.

This is exactly their strategy…but on the other hand their efforts have produced RECORD amounts of new gun owners. Remember, before Newtown, there seemed to be a new gun show on TV every month.

The spark for revolt was not until the British attempted confiscation of personal firearms. I agree w SMETNA, they are on a long term, generational plan. However, when they start confiscation, a new spark may be lit, whether our generation or the next.
