I guess its time for a blanket party for the remedials in our midst.
I would add daughters to that, and maybe change that one word to guts.![]()
I think we are doomed actually. Ever walk into a Starbucks and notice the “male” youth?? Either they are mommas boy, tree huggin hippies or guys that find women repulsive. Are we going to get future Generals and Navy SEAL’s out of this group? I think not.
On principle, I stopped going to starbucks a long time ago.
I did have the opportunity to visit boot camp at Navy boot camp at Great Lakes several years back while in khaki. The best part of the visit was the chow hall. We sat whereever and shot the shit with the recruits. Talking with these young Sailors was a shot in the arm. This is what it’s all about. The visit was part of a leadership school and the intent / lesson of the visit was not lost on anyone.
This is true!

They should make this statue. Everybody forgets about the hero’s nowadays.
my father said it best telling my mother one day " you are raising a son , I am making a man !!!" god bless all those who serve this country in whatever capacity , and god bless the families of those who have fallen to protect everything great about this country !!!
We could replace the weapon with a case of beer, except Danny wouldn’t have gone for it.

Hey! Twice I tried and didnt have what it took to make a boy. But my girls are
as patriotic as they come thanx to me, and the home they’re raised in. It will
take as many people as possible to defend this country and its freedoms
before its all over. Im not trying to take anything away from anyone having
boys, But because of my conditions I have to look at things from this angle.
Be sure to raise a patriot, not just an american or american general.
Damn,

I miss Danny, James, Dan, Jeff T, Jaque, Mike, Eric, Jeff L, Shane, Ax and Murph … Now Ryan and Clark.
It sucks, but it is what we do, I would be happy to forward any information for families to those interested in helping out.

That does remind me of something…
Folks, if you are ever in a position to be around some of these guys (I have occasionally had the privilege of training with or hanging out with members of our Special Forces), buy them a round and a decent meal.
You wouldn’t believe how much they appreciate the gesture…IF, that is, you can be stubborn enough to get them to let you pay.
They’re all worth a hell of a lot more than we pay them.
Liberals are good for crap just like this, nothing else, another fine example of just what their all good for.
I have two sons in the Army. My youngest is with the 75th INF. 1st Ranger Batt. and on his second tour of Iraq. My oldest son is a 2nd Lt. and is awaiting Ranger school in May whereafter he will be deployed to Iraq with the 4th ID. I just want to say that if you feel that our country has no hope in our future, just go to the nearest military base or post and if its an open post drive through and meet some of the most wonderful young people in the world. Every time I go to Ft. Benning it’s like a shot in the arm. To meet these patriotic and motivated young folks always makes my a little teary-eyed and proud. Buy them a beer, shake their hand or just say thanks. The Lib-Left will continue to stick their heads in the sand and encourage our Muslim enemies until they kill a large number of Americans again just like 911. When that time comes again you will see the Patriots rise to the top. RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!
As Queen Gorga said, “Only Spartan women bear Spartan men.”
Here is a link http://www.littletongov.org/citymanager/dietzFacts.asp to the memorial page for Danny including a email link where you can send your comments to the city. I sent them my positive comments on standing up to the liberal whiners. Hope we can show some support. akraven
I have a 7 month old son, I will raise him the way my dad raised me. My dad was/is a Marine, I was/am a Marine, and he will be a Marine. We are like modern day “Spartans”, and if Jack, my son has a son, I am hoping he will want him to be a Marine too.
Jack, the future Marine: (and my beautiful wife, Tracy)

There are no doubt still some Patriots and Warriors among us. The problem is, they are but a fraction of the people in our country as a whole. The below article is a good illustration of who most of our country has become, in what was done to the Prof. in it.

Professor axed for VT stunt: Re-enacted tragedy to tout pro-gun perspective
By Casey Ross
Boston Herald ReporterSaturday, April 21, 2007 - Updated: 12:00 AM EST
An Emmanuel College professor has been fired after re-enacting the Virginia Tech massacre in his classroom in order to air a pro-gun viewpoint that offended students at the Catholic liberal arts school, the professor charged yesterday.
Nicholas Winset said he was terminated and permanently barred from campus following a Wednesday lecture in which he dramatized the massacre to show that deranged gunman Cho Seung-Hui could have been stopped if another student had been carrying a gun. “If there were more guns in society, the response time to the (rampage) might have been much faster,” said Winset, an adjunct professor of financial accounting. “Someone might have been able to do something to stop it.” In an interview yesterday, Winset also decried media coverage of the massacre, saying, “Just because everyone is portraying this as the national tragedy of the year doesn’t mean it is. More people died of AIDS today” than in the massacre, he said. Administrators at the college apparently did not appreciate Winset’s classroom message. They quickly fired him via a one-page letter delivered by courier yesterday. “You are hereby directed not to enter the College campus or any College owned property at any time for any reason,” the letter states. “Also enclosed . . .is the Commonwealth of Massachusetts form, How to File for Unemployment Insurance Benefits.” A spokeswoman for Emmanuel College, Molly Honan, would not give the college’s rationale for firing Winset. She said the school’s policy is not to comment on personnel issues. Winset, 37, of Newton called the college’s decision to fire him “pathetic,” and said it will have a “chilling effect” on professors’ willingness to engage in open discussions about controversial issues. “A classroom is supposed to be a place for academic exploration,” he said. “It’s just gotten so politically correct. It’s sad that we have come to this point.” Winset said he gave students a disclaimer before he started his Virginia Tech re-enactment, which involved him pointing a Magic Marker at students and saying, “Pow.” He then had another student shoot him with an imaginary gun to make the point that Cho could have been stopped by another student with a firearm. Winset said the skit was meant to be a somewhat tenuous segue into an assignment asking students to examine whether the massacre has had an impact on the financial markets, which have remained healthy in tragedy’s aftermath. He said he wanted students to see that intense media focus on a story does not always mean it has the same relevance to the markets or to society in general.”
Linda Cuesta, the parent of a child who was at Columbine High School during the deadly April 1999 shootings, said that memory “colors everything in my life,” but she is sympathetic to the Dietz family.
…And my uncle and my cousin were killed in automobile accidents at separate times. Do I feel the need to protest any statues that look like cars?
Obviously there are idiots everywhere. And with this here Inter-Web, they can be right up in your face at any time.
Cripes, look at that picture- The guy looks like a fine warrior. Something America used to pride herself on breeding.

I’m surprised I’m the first one to post this. The article made me as angry as it made the rest of you, but more than anything, it raised a question in my mind: Where do I donate to fund statues of the other three heroes?
