Does anyone use WC844 to load 223-5.56mm ? I have read on forums that you can use H335 load date on WC844 Powder.
You can…, And I still use 844 for 5.56.BUT you need to work up your loads…start with a H335 starting load and carefully work up,always looking for signs of overpressure. Bulk surplus powders can and very often do have different burning rates from lot to lot, So the 844 you buy could very well burn a little differently than the 844 I have… Surplus powders can be used to make some very accurate loads. a cronograph would come in real handy if you plan on using bulk surplus powders…

I use it but as was mentioned, my 844 is probably a different lot than yours and not being a canister powder, no real effort is made lot to lot to keep the same burn rate so you need to carefully work up your load and if you buy more 844 and the lot changes you should start over again.
But it is a great powder and from my understanding is what is used in real gov M193 (AFAIK)
To give you an idea how good 844 can be,I used it in a target AR I have, 22"stainless douglas bull bbl, 1/9 twist, jewell trigger, Burris scope. Using L.C. brass, 844powder, 52gr Serria BTHP, All loaded on a Dillon progressive press, after sighting in, I shot for group, (100yds) 10rnds into a 3/4" hole…This was the first load I tried in this rifle…I was quite suprised…
